Just finished episode 1 and the FL is already pissing me off >< I know they have to get up in each other’s business for this drama to go anywhere. But her attitude is just fucking terrible... does she just assume that everyone who happens to be near a screaming child is a molester?? It’s so fucking stupid >< and it makes her look idiotic, going around asking ppl to see their ankles... coz every child molester alive is born with an ankle monitor...

Apart from that, I really enjoyed it

Ugh I forgot that it used to be ok to give a beautiful girl frizzy hair and red skin to make her look ‘ugly’ in tv and movies... this is just so fucked up >< but it’s not even the worst part, the worst part is all the other female characters in it, I don’t think I saw more than a few scenes where a female wasn’t putting on make up and ignoring her work... ><

I just finished this, and I only have one question , why did they put Lee Hyun Wook in the poster even if he only…
Stuff like that is usually done to mislead viewers about plot and characters, not sure if it’s because of that in this. And while his role was small, it was significant to the development of the plot. Without his character, the viewer would understand very little about what Moon-Jo is trying to do to Jong-Woo. So I can understand why they highlighted his character like that tbh, but I get why other might be confused...

I’m not done with this drama yet, it’s good so far, it’s not great, but it is one of the best crime/murder dramas I’ve seen. You don’t see a lot of k dramas with this kind of plot and content which is why I think a lot of people think that it’s such a masterpiece. It’s the rarity value of it imo. There are, of course, many western shows (and even jap anime or Swedish shows) that are much better than this, but that’s only because they’ve been doing it longer. I’ve never seen a western rom com that wasn’t a complete hot mess, yet the Korean ones are fucking beautiful and I love almost every single one.

So you know, everyone has their strengths.

The one thing that stands out in this is Lee Dong Wook. Tbh I didn’t think he’d be this good in it. But his acting and general demeanour transfer pretty well from Romantic ML to psychotic ML. I’m probably never gunna look at his innocent lil smile the same way again. Every other character in this is pretty clichè for a psychological thriller. As is the plot so far, you know, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. Maybe the ending will change my mind?

I guess we’ll see, I’ll edit once I finish it.

Also, actually, is it weird that the character I hate the most in this show is Ji Eun? Out of all the absolutely fucking horrible people in this show, to me she is the worst. Wouldn’t it be awesome if this had a happy ending? Like Jong-Woo survives and writes a novel about it and becomes famous, that would be great, I’m expecting this to end horribly so it would just be sweet if it did a 360 On me and ended happily instead.

Sooo I’m on ep 9 now, and honestly I’m starting to get bored... there’s nothing great about the cinematography or the general atmosphere of this show to keep my attention, and 9 hours later... the plot literally hasn’t moved. The same things happen in every episode ><

Jong-woo gets treated like shit at work, his boss is passive aggressive at him, he fights with him gf, the creepy guys at the residence act creepy, he gets drugged, falls asleep and has a dream about the army... next episode, the same shit happens again...

I take back what I said about this being one of the best crime dramas... well, I guess it is at the start, but once you get near the end, it’s pretty much just boring...

Sometimes I wonder if doing an actual sex scene would feel more comfortable, than having to do a scene where you sit on a bed and talk about having sex in innuendos, and, have to say shit like

“Your so manly”

And

“I’m not an idiot who stopped maturing before puberty”

And then disappoint us all by just sleeping.

But I guess their used to it

Also, XD , is it just me or is this show mainly about Dong-Mans dream? He gets most of the screen time, and Ae-Ras stuff hasn’t gotten anywhere by like ep 12, at which point she decides to try out for cage announcing which is basically just a way to once again, highlight his dream...

At first I didn’t get why everyone hated Seon Mi (The FL) but later on it becomes obvious doesn’t it? XD

She is so fucking stupid. Just an idiot. It’s like she doesn’t learn anything from everything. By the 14th episode she’s still falling for obvious tricks like the bookseller. She doesn’t even remember the very obvious and BAD reaction the peddlers grandson had to the black bell. Again, at first it’s forgivable and easy to ignore, but by the time Asenyon shows up and she’s having those dreams of getting married, it’s like infuriating. How could anyone be that stupid unless they have daily memory loss?? I have nothing against the ‘forced’ romance, what really gets me is how could O-Gong possibly love someone that idiotic without the bracelet... no one could, unless your both like 5 years old. This show could have been great instead of just good if they’d only written Seon Mi as a character with an actual brain...

I love how they not so subtly go from O-Gong wearing kinda out there mismatching clothes, to fashionable two pieces... like sure I didn’t notice

Ugh the one thing I hate the most about dramas is the fact that they always somehow have to justify the fact that two people in their late 20’s are still fucking virgins... I guess they could only think of having Saeroyi be in prison and then stuck on a ship for 10 years just so he could be inexperienced and his thing with Soo Ah would be cute coz he’s never been with anyone. In secretary kim it was the kidnapping, it’s always something because otherwise it would just be ridiculous. I don’t understand why their obsessed with this. Like two people can’t be in love if they’ve had sex before... also I don’t know how I feel about the casting choice for Hyun yi

I’ve just started this so yeah only on ep 2. What really fucking gets to me, is why does the owner of Jangga act like he’s a fucking crime lord, doesn’t he just own a bunch of restaurants?? Is he seriously just that messed up in the head? Or does his company do other stuff I’m not aware of? He seriously acts like he’s a mafia don or yakuza boss. It’s kind of confusing I keep thinking his business is drug trafficking and that he’s killing ppl left and right then someone mentions his pub or restaurant. I don’t understand the character personality at all. Whoever made the choice to have him be like this made a wrong choice I think...

Title Immortality
U didn't spoil anything for urself lol chill... I'm sure you will forget everything u read in the synopsis soon…
Yeah I was pretty sure that the rebirth was real, but you know XD I haven’t finished it so to me anything is still possible. It is very good, very different to the Chinese BL novels I’ve read so far, I especially like the fact that Mo Ran knows that he’s super gay XD

Nope, this one isn't based on a manga. They would've said they adapted it if they did.
XD I guess it’s just me then, I’ve seen a bunch of dramas with that basic plot, unsolved murders, but this one just immediately made me think of the manga >< and yeah it’s a great manga I remember I couldn’t put it down when I was reading it. And a drama based on it would actually be awesome, too bad this one isn’t ><

Since the plot description of this drama is pretty vague, I just went of the name and the fact that it’s about two guys going after a killer.

It is if you read it, it’s about a guy going after a serial killer. There’s a bunch of stuff that’s not the same like the kid that he saves coming back 20 years later and other stuff that I can’t remember, but the main part is the same.

But one of the alternative names for it is literally Monster, and the plot is the same I looked it up...

Do you mean they would have said so on this page? Because they don’t always. Or have you read about it somewhere else?

If this airs it’s going to be just as bad as My Strange friend. It’s obviously been shelved for so long for a reason and it’s only going to be broadcast because Yibo is in it and it’ll get views just because of him.
