Not saying you are entirely wrong and I even watched few of the BLs, but most BL have no real story other than everyone being gay, and kissing and makeouts, toxic (even abusive) relationships. Not many BLs actually give good representation, rather they serve (mostly) straight women who for some odd reason watch anything, as long as it's two boys kissing in it. Otherwise why wouldn't they also watch "straight" dramas? There are other important topics, than being gay, no? And please, I repeat, I am bisexual and I am all for rep and I watch some BLs, so this is not me being homophobic, this is me saying that most BLs don't show struggles of LGBT people and don't help anything.

it's definitely not great tbh, but 7,8 is not super low rating at all... and many times it doesn't mean the drama as bad, as well as the opposite with high rating

well, alright, but if they kept it, then they would get a few minutes as couple anyways, as for the majority of the series it's actually the 40 year old gangster, so I just don't get the outrage, if Korea did literally few BLs, let alone none, I would get the anger more, like that it seems that most are bothered by the lack of kiss...
