it is possible, but if you think about it, she didn't have to sneak out, they could've made easy excuse, and I think the wedding wasn't that day, at least it wasn't mentioned, and I doubt she would smile like that, as she saw her name on the phone, as by that time she knew that she didn't fly anywhere, Idk, not to mention she would feel extremely guilty as she would know she was the one who didn't close the gate and the husband would know too, and the way he acts doesn't add up to it (caring about his wife, the investigation he does etc., though he could've cheated on her, but love her at the same time)

it's rare for someone to get jail time for running someone over, if it's not proven he rode fast/was drinking, to be fair, the fact powerful people back him up, explains how he got away even when he didn't call help also

I mean, the opened gate suggests that the husband maybe had an affair, but Idk... It seems like he really loves her and it doesn't seem likely to me. His mistress went there, when the son could've easily seen her, just fooling around the house in the middle of the day? And if it was the sister, why would she need to sneak out? They could've made up excuse and it just doesn't add up to me, unless she is psycho, which I doubt.
