It still can be misleading, they didnt show his face during the attack. They would, if it was really him. Not to mention that smile in the hospital.... I think the FL imagined their faces looking like that, I dont think he really smiled. But lets see.

I love the more serious dramas/scenes, so I don't get how someone would be disappointed by that, there are lot of comedy/cute scenes. It's not a cliche romcom about nothing, which some people are used to, honestly.
