Personally I prefer more angsty dramas, and even given the theme (death of beloved woman), it definitely won't be just light. If it was just comedy and light themes, it would seem silly and maybe even cringey.

I don't like replacement of cast either, but it was choice of previous actors... And Lee Joon Gi will definitely be amazing, not sure if you are familiar with him or not, but he is amazing actor.
