I have 3 episodes to go. I like both leads. However, the time flashback flipping is jarring and there's no real…
> there's no real flow in understanding how it is all possible. It starts to become very distracting which takes away from the storyline.
I disagree. In my experience whenever a time travel show tries to explain how time travel works in detail it's almost always a disaster, because it's almost impossibly hard to make such explanations coherent and consistent enough. Encouraging the audience to use their imagination or just accept these things at face value is the best way. A recent bad example of this the -otherwise- amazing time travel romance My Deepest Dream: https://kisskh.at/65699-my-deepest-dream The only way to enjoy the fake science in the final episodes is to literally not understand even a hint of what they were saying..
would y'all recommend rewatching strong woman do bong soon to fully understand this sequel? i've watched it a…
I'm 100% sure you wouldn't need to. But hey that one is a kdrama comedy classic, one of the best out there, why don't just go for it? (Also it has very pretty & vibrant cinematography and everything, so it's less dated than some dramas that have come out in 2023) You have three weeks, chop chop chop xD
Honestly I would be very surprised if this new one was anywhere near comparable to the prequel. (the cast is just really legendary in that one, even the supporting villains are insane!)
I think AHS's acting just a minor problem. You get (not counting the final episode) the same plot & dialog as the original's, but there is nothing good from this drama being Korean, no Korean touch, or anything like that. You get an inferior version of the same thing. It's inferior music, inferior chemistry, inferior cinematography, inferior emotional impact.
Why is everyones obsessed with the TAIWANESE series. Like they are forcing upon the ones who haven't watched it.…
>Obviously directors and producers / casting manager know well who to cast and who shouldn't be casted.
If that were true LMH or SH would have never been cast as main leads, not in a million years. The goal is not to make the best drama they can make, but to bring in as many fans as possible. Star Brand Reputation Rankings are far more important than acting skill, especially for male leads. Based on the first episode AHS did alright, he is slowly improving & while he is not the most talented actor, he definitely puts in the hard work & enthusiasm into acting, I have only respect for him, still I would have preferred someone else, since this is not just your average romcom.. Then again his visuals and age fit very well, so maybe I overestimate the acting pool the producers had the opportunity to pick from, who knows. (twenty something established name who fits, I'm ashamed to say I cannot think of anyone else right now)
Seems like the normal 2 minute happy ending thing. The original drama had a similarly short, albeit very different ending, but with the extra scene it was very satisfying, no such luck here, though I just briefly "looked" at what's going on, since I thought I already knew the plot anyway, but the last episode looks alien to me.
edit: aye, Im Si Wan's also pretty good.

Yes, you've forgotten, if anything it was even worse. :)

Sure, because Blue Birthday is somewhere in between heavily inspired by and being an unofficial adaptation of Someday or O.D..
