Have you never dated someone and noticed extreme incompatibility a couple of weeks in?

Oftentimes blonde hair & double chin seems to be requirement. They go for a stereotypical look.

During the university years there are 2 flies that try stuff, but this does not last long & their efforts are very strongly rebuffed.

In terms of being open and inclusive the Korean society is similar to America in the sixties. You know 'I Dream of Jeannie' and stuff.. (and they have their own problems with extreme toxicity that America never had)

While I don't think fat jokes are fine, I can just press my FF button & enjoy the rest of the show.
(Also consider that in Korea very few people are fat, so there is very little pushback)

The horrible English is oftentimes on the Korean voice actor, because yes they do that. They hire actors capable of speaking decent English & then dub over their voices to make it easier to understand for Koreans, despite the subs.

Am I the only one that found e5 boring? (there were a couple of fun moments, but..)

That's not what I meant. The drama is written while the show is airing. The writers could arbitrarily conjure up a childhood engagement and completely ruin the show, if they think the ML is not popular. (or just to spice things up)

I certainly have no problem with him.

The tag is only added after the fact. If it's filmed live, perhaps even the writers aren't sure at this point. They could literally cast someone new on the fly to be a new love interest.

It's too early to be so certain about that. In kdramas I've seen triangles starting out of nowhere as late as ep10.

However considering how much is going on & how many semi-main leads there are, I think a big triangle is not very likely.

I'm barely past half way in, but around ep10 it becomes magical, somehow. It's like suddenly everything works. The early episodes are rather typical, well other than the weird deny-dating thing that already started very early on.

This show is crazy, if you cannot tolerate the craziness then drop it. With that said, while it does not get any less crazy, but it gets better, more fun.

Because common sense existed in Do Bong Sun?
