Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I find her incredibly pretty & cute. Then again acting ability and good casting that fits the role matters the most.

She reminds me of Sloane from Ferris Bueller's Day Off & she's been the dream girl of that generation of teens in America.

I think she has improved enough by the later epis.

It goes both ways. With 16 episodes things get draggy sometimes, but with 12 the things that are cut are often not the bad parts, so it can get even worse. Ultimately it comes down to the writers caring if their work is good from start to finish & that is usually not the case. With the 16 epi format there is more financial incentive to keep the quality on a decent level proportionally longer at least.

It's very rare that 12 epi dramas are not a messy rushjob 5 minute happy endings. I would say that kdramas are getting worse lately in general, the episode count is not relevant.

That is not impossible either I suppose. If I had to bet I would think it's a professional job.

I bet there is cheating involved, the exact method is unclear, but it's obvious that there are financial interests & it costs relatively speaking very little to keep making 10/10 reviews, even if they don't run bots a few interns could probably keep making new accounts for a few days. This is the same to fake reviews on Amazon, with similar motivations.

I'm not saying no one will like this drama, but objectively there is no way this is a 8.5 ..

The irony is that that due to OCD I could totally see myself panicking about my guest not using a slipper & do the same thing, the same way xD

People with OCD get triggered by different things on an individual basis, to me this is nothing.

Yes, It's an unprecedented low in my kdrama history. Also it's really stupid, because she could have just closed it & then the characters could've talked about not being able to see it from that distance or not even that..

Have you seen the classic romcoms such as Secretary Kim, Business Proposal, Her Private Life, Secret Life of my Secretary, Another Oh Hae Yong, Oh My Venus etc?

DK feels far inferior to those in many ways & it really has the worst cliches. Though of course we all have different tastes & priorities, so it's alright to disagree with my take ^

Based on what little I've seen, this is many orders of magnitude better than Dynamite Kiss, but it's pure romance / slice of life, not a romcom.

God, just do the white truck on him, he is the most deserving. I would give an extra point to the show in my final review if they did that, maybe even 2. SFL could just live happily with the kid or something. (I know I'm not being nice here, sorry)

They have actually, disrespectful as fork, but it is what it is. They could have totally done it with no one being able to read the opened document from a distance, but it's changed indeed.

This is quite possibly the second most annoying kdrama I have ever not dropped. I've been thinking how they could make it more annoying if they wanted to, a nearly 2 episode long forced separation with a 1 minute happy ending would do it I think..

Considering everything that happened so far, it might not be.

I think there is a lot variance in general. For instance the Goblin OST is mindblowing.

Korea has a great many very educated stay home moms that would love to get back to white collar work they are qualified for, but cannot because of how carrier breaks are permanent in the toxic Korean corporate culture.

Now imagine such people watching this show & how these supposedly university graduate moms are acting like they were directly recruited from the fish market. Implying & reinforcing that people after a 5-10 year carrier break are no longer intellectuals.

It's not. The second ML is poorly written, the mom division is straight up disrespectful & ML's dad is like omg. There is also the half-sibling, no matter how good the actress is, the character is really poor & ridiculous. The occasionally clever dialog is not enough to ever call this script anything but poor.
