Not him literally threatening her that if he killed her here no one would know.Chill out dude.
He's getting comically unhinged.

Just one thing: Seonyul does NOT know the things his father said to Soohyun. In his eyes, his father was a good…
Pay for what mistakes?
He got a suspended sentence, he wouldn't spend a single day in jail.
Also, her family was already ruined and she spent the better part of a decade in jail.

I understand that he was his dad and he probably went through so much but I really can’t say I empathize with…
Yeah, it's bad writing.
Replying to ztravs88 Mar 23, 2024
I would understand Seon Yul's feelings to some extent if he wasn't already grown when his father died. He was…
Yeah. That's a very big writing hole, and one that they're not really trying to solve pointing out that he was a teenager at the time or whatever.

So either he will eventually realise he was wrong, or they're really banking on CEW's face to soften the blow that this guy is in the wrong and is a psycho. (Which doesn't even make sense, because from what they showed of his character before the dad dying, that kind of person wouldn't turn into a psycho stalker overnight lmao)

Yeah it’s crazy that the father showed no remorse for what he did and that’s the reason she snapped in the…
That's actually something that's been studied in psychology.

People become more selfish when they have a family. They start putting the welfare and interests of their own children/spouse ahead of others, in a detrimental way, trying to get better conditions and things, even at the expense of others.

And they will empathise with their own family but dehumanise others, if it serves their own interests.

In that respect, I guess it tracks.

I really do like that CEW took on this challenging role. If I am being honest this latest episode I don’t know…
Yeah, he can be a bit hit or miss sometimes.
I was watching the behind the scenes and it seemed that the director was very hands off on those scenes, which isn't ideal.

He usually does well when he's acting with someone more experienced that can guide him or with a strong director that steers him more closely.

He killed her son, threw him away as if he was garbage and had the gall to criticize the dead kid for being hit…
Lmao
I did get what the drama is saying it's actually a very facile moral stance and not that deep actually...

What I was saying is that it's not a very good one lmao

This is about moral relativism, but the script is not really up to par on it. If you can't comprehend that and keep equating his ruined adolescence with her child being dead, I can't really continue this discussion.

The fact that the justice system didn't work is a key point in how this went down, but I guess that's maybe too veiled a plot point for you.

Oh well.
I thought this drama was too predictable and facile for most audiences, but I guess I was wrong lmao

Have a nice day.

So what.
I doubt that what someone says on a comment section is keeping him up at night.

If you even were a fan of his you'd know he doesn't read online comments. Not even in Korean, let alone in English.
Chill.

He probably does get them because of his pretty face. Pretty privilige is real you know.

Also the direction, it has a lot of cheesy framing, for some reason. And not just on his character, on the FL too, but she manages it better, her experience manifesting itself, I suppose.
It's not worth it to try to argue or reason with fans that say this kind of thing online, they always have the same talking points and perceive any criticism as hate and go to ridiculous extremes in their praising of him.

Best to ignore, really.

You people are tiring.
He doesn't need you to defend him on the internet. He keeps getting booked and working and making lots of money just fine, without the need for you to defend his honor in the comment section of a drama website lmao

Hm yes? There are crimes you can rank. The whole justice system is based on that principle.
Otherwise every criminal case would get the same sentence lmao

For the life of me, I can't understand the people who are all pikachu face about the son reveal. It was so telegraphed from the start.

Yeah, this is the definition of kicking someone when they're down.
And it also makes him extremely unlikable.

Seon Yul is so funny cos what does he mean he wants to take everything precious from Soo Hyun as if his father…
Yeah, this is a miss.

I get what the writers are trying to do, like saying that revenge only begets misery and you shouldn't do it but they're putting Soohyun and Seonyul on equal footing, as per revenge.

Which just ignores how the whole killing of her son, who was a CHILD, went down.

The only thing that might justify Seonyul's obsession and skewed thinking is that he was a teenager at the time and got obsessed, otherwise this is just very misguided.

Pretty much confirmed the affair was with YR.I understand SY's need for revenge because at the end of the day…
He killed her son, threw him away as if he was garbage and had the gall to criticize the dead kid for being hit by his car in front of the mother.

The fact that Seonyul can't contextualize that and only looks at his own pain, makes him self centered and immature, which I guess is understandable as he was a teenager when his father died.

I get what the drama is saying with revenge only begets misery, but I'm not sure I love the execution.
