Just a few questions, why do images disappear from some articles? How do people make it so that they don't? It…
Unfortunately there was a server issue in the past. We've remedied the issue so that this will not happen again in any new articles. For writers of older articles who'd like to edit in / fix their old articles, simply pm me or Jin.
I mean, this is cool but I'd rather just write at my own pace. Watching 3 movies per week is more than I can handle…
The Weekend Movie review doesn't mean you have to watch those 3 movies in a week. It means you find 3 movies with a certain theme in mind, and write about them [though you do have to have seen them before.]
I’d like to write, but none of those topics/positions appeals to me :/
You're able to choose whatever topic [related to Asian Dramas] you'd like, and write about it. If you're interested, simply pm me with the topic in mind.
Really, REALLY loved this article. You guys clearly spent a ton of time on this.
"Of course, the tag system is implemented on a user-by-user basis. Which means that anyone can tag a drama with whatever they want and however they perceive it. This opens up an alternate explanation for why some dramas got tagged while others do not. As I mentioned before, it may have to do with how prominent a concept the age gap is within the drama."
So while we do have staff approve tags [so that random tags aren't added], our staff haven't seen everything and do rely on reliable users to push through the tags that they feel are right for the title. If you guys see any dramas with no tags, feel free to add the ones that you think are accurate.
Thank you for explaining. Wish we could get a response like this directly from them rather than the ones I’ve…
At this point, it seems like they could say 1 + 1, and some people will say that's not the case. In the months to come, we'll see how they do. I have faith in them.
Just a few things to note: 1) Embedding official Youtube videos [from TV networks like MangoTV] is perfectly acceptable and even supported by TV networks. Youtube actually allows companies to decide whether to allow or deny the ability to embed their videos, and these networks have allowed it. Any money earned from them via video ads is given by Youtube TO the networks. HotPot is not earning a penny from them [and they have no ads at the moment]. Embedding does NOT equal downloading and re-uploading the video.
2) We're 100% confident in HotPot being a license holder of the dramas they've uploaded onto their site. ~ 80% of their content is actually on their own player, and the other 20% is via Youtube [from official networks.] We view them as a potential Viki / DramaFever of Chinese/Taiwanese dramas and in time, expect them to provide a great service bringing otherwise unsubtitled and unlicensed content to users around the world. This is just the beginning as they launched two days ago.
Hi there, we're a licensed service. Thank you for checking us out!
Just a FYI since some users might not know this, but kisskh's goal has always been to help support the Asian Drama and Film industries. In other words, we'd never help promote a site if it didn't have licensed content.
