I really enjoyed this drama. It is fluffy and cute, perfect for relaxing when you just want fluff and cute, without drama and angst.

It’s cute, at times inspiring, at times nostalgic— it hit all the right spots for me. It’s in no way a perfect drama, but the actors did an excellent job and I recommend it to people who want a feel-good fluffy drama.

Ending of episode 8… what realization is YSX having? Is it what I think it is? Also, does it count if she retrieves the item? What about the wine that she packed for him that’s supposed to warm up the body?

1. What happens to Rahu Ketu?
2. Is XuanJi a mortal or an immortal?
3. Is SiFeng a mortal or an immortal?
4. Did XuanJi and SiFeng successfully complete their trial?

I hate the way the female characters were written and acted in this series except for the purple fox.

Almost all of them overall lacked intelligence, common sense and were sooo stubborn for the sake of being stubborn, much to the detriment of themselves and those around them.

Most notably, the FL, LingLong and the Silver Snake. Their characters made watching the show difficult at times.

So fluffy and cute.

Anyone else rewatching?

I never realized what a good actor ChengYi was until this show. The show itself is interesting, well-written, well-acted, directed well and has good pacing. I can’t believe so many good dtamas are out this year!

Also, slapping on a mustache on the FL and pretending she’s actually passable to others as man… come on…

I hope she fires her MUA for the mess in Beauty of Resilience. Her eyebrows looked so terrible and distracting— why do this to a beautiful actress?

I think this drama would have done well as a 12-16 episode drama. As is, it started off with a bang, but drags towards the middle. There’s so much potential and I love the actors including the main and supporting… but the direction and script isn’t as tight as it could be.

shame because the beginning was so good!

I’m on and kind of struggling too… I wonder if it gets better and picks up again?

“Beating her” (who by all accounts looks like a man, though XL suspects Xiao Liu might be a woman) as in ordering his soldiers to give lashings to someone who trespassed in their grounds near their army base?

XY is lucky XL didn’t just immediately kill her, she could have been a spy from the enemy camp for all they knew. She knows she shouldn’t have been there.

There’s a context to everything.

I think it’s more than 2 shades. And completely different undertone.
