I don't know how Netflix took a masterpiece like The Story of Yanxi Palace... and then created this. Disappointment isn't an adequate enough word to describe the series. I wouldn't even waste my time on this.

I think we should be looking at the story from historical perspective instead of measuring with our modern day ruler/yardstick. People who find certain stories not PC enough for them… should stick to American Disney and Netflix content.

I’m East Asian, born and raised, pretty darn familiar with the history, culture and mythology of China, Korea and Japan.
