So confused by the comments calling this “queerbaiting.” There’s no queerbaiting here, just a female lead…
i think people are not understanding the concept. it isn't about queers, the series is about a girl who loves queer media. she enjoys it and she writes it. it is more of a story of fujoshi rather than a wannabe yaoi.

while I haven't watch it yet, few clips I have watched is similar to the reality I have seen for the girls who enjoys watching and reading yaois. one of my friends used to ship 2 boys in our high school class because they were always holding hands and sit together hahaha

it was years ago but I can understand that it is a real experience and a funny one at that. imagination running wild rather than fetishisation or queerbait

Title The Rebirth
there has to be an intervention for naming dramas "rebirth" this is getting out of hand
Chinese dramas are notorious for using same name titles for different dramas. once there was a title that I searched and 8 dramas showed up with exact name. i was so confused

They aren't gay. Just so you know, Ji Ling actually has his brother's face 💀 It will be known later in the…
I understand. i watched several more episodes and realised they are following the aesthetics of early xianxias where intimacy and proximity wasn't to show romance but to show close bonds. in today's time, due to censorship, those dialogues and portrayals are heavily used to show censored queer relationship. that's why I misunderstood. I'm pleasantly surprised by the turn this drama has taken. it reminds me so much of the chinese movies I used to watch as kids. though I'm kinda sad to know spoilers. I should have watch couple more episodes before commenting so no worries

i didn't come here to tell their relationship... i asked how did that pass the censorship because other dramas has been scrutinized for less. and I already mentioned the details in my first comment itself. idk why you're offended. you could've just said that their relationship isn't gay if it isn't and I am misunderstanding if that's so. there's no need for hate speech or sarcasm here 🙄

you clearly don't understand what my comment was about

Where did you find this about lj and jl?? In what part?
he pushes the girl away from him and was upset multiple times when she came close or he passed a smile to her and it is very much in their actions. I'm not claiming they're gonna have a relationship or anything on this drama as I have only watched one episode till now but they are SCREAMING gay side couple blatantly.

They even gayer in real life. Tian Jiarui is obsessed with Ya Nan’s chest. I wonder if they’ve ever slept…
where is the link? i can't see it 🤔

I have to say FoF is on another level (they're both part of a love triangle with Neo Hou's character there - we…
tgcf has a live action starring zhang ling he that has not been released despite being fully filmed due to censorship even though it was filmed as bromance at most.

I'm not exclusively looking for gay costume dramas tbh

more like I was watching it and gay part came onto me hahah and censorship was the first thing in my mind because 2026 and gay side couple in cdrama?!?! wildddd

I'll check out FoF once I finish this one tho just to see what it is about due to your rec :)

FoF is which one?? and how does historical cdramas are just letting it happen? heaven official blessings are still not out because it was based on BL but others hint at it and they let it pass? this one was too obvious and at first ep only so it gave me major shock especially since the guidelines have become stricter I have heard and they refused to let go of censorship. i really enjoy when random gay couples pop out tbh
it used to happen so much in cdramas before but this drama is the rare instance in years for me

Just finished watching ep 1, li jie and li jing are pretty much gay so my only question is how did that pass the censorship 💀

I'm not complaining cuz yes gimme more but I'm veryyy shocked
I was absolutely in love with S1 so when I found out zhuge qing was replaced, I was quite upset since I was waiting for zhuge qing and wang ye story to be more developed this season and that's why I didn't watch S2 as it aired.

Now I thought maybe I should check this season out but seeing the comments regarding this two and even the main characters, I guess I'll just forget S2 exists :/

When I'm in the competition of devotion and dedication to my partner and my opponents are shouhua and yang xian, I'm doomed.

Most of them had few flaws but if I started listing them it would be too much so I'll just let it be..

The funny thing is the first meeting of every couple was great and epic but only one was very basic and that's the only couple that had the best storyline in comparison imo LoL
On Perfect Match 2 days ago
During the start, I was afraid that it might follow only one couple since I started it for multi couple storylines.

I thought they would occur simultaneously instead of in an order

Out of the six, Only one couple was truly a perfect match

Two were good, could've been perfect

Two were .... Not good enough

One was underdeveloped

I feel like the potential of it was bigger than what it is.

that's not to say it is not good or it is bad, it is good.

I did not finish the show yet, and now you got me scaaarreeedd 😭😭
it is a happy ending (mostly). the line do holds a meaning but the series having a happy ending is why I said that line was crazy. if I told you anything, it will be a spoiler so just watch it and you will understand. the main couples lives happily together in every universe. don't worry
