no it isn't. huo family is where her aunt got married. three different family.

she lives at her father's.
she went to her mother's
huo family is where her mother's sister got married and huo jue is from that family only.

his grandmother/his house won't be the same as the grandmother rao was looking for though. because huo family is different from Rao's mother family

I am on ep 6: can someone explain the relationship between wei rao and huo jue? if he is the son of her aunt then why is he acting like that? wont that make them close blood relative?

I'm also in general confused about her relation to huo family and why he knocked on her grandma's door and huo answered. can someone help?

The moment I felt they were talking different is whenever a person of authority appears or they're talking serious with adults, their pitch and way of speaking and their words are vastly different than the normal. Other time, they sound similar to other costume dramas. For example at the start, when she talked to princess or whoever was that, her words were very distinct or when grandmother talked to Duchess lu, very different tone of words than usual.

This was a good watch. binged it and it barely had anything to complain about, for me.

some old shows are very draggy and full of misunderstandings and stupidity and what not but not this one, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

her hair are like that for a reason. you will see throughout the drama, she messes her hair alot and given her power, that's why they're like that. and literally nobody in drama called her ugly, she is considered pretty only.

if you're enjoying it, its good thing, ofc. if you're not enjoying it, there is alot to watch out there :)
