does anyone else thinks this drama has role reversal thing going on? like shin Hye sun is the ML and gong myung is the FL. we see the story thru his lenses as well, ju in a is cool and mysterious while gong myung is somewhat of a damsel due to his boss and hates her while being a cutie overall and is starting to fall for her. the classic but reverse roles
can we talk about how moo is so cuteeee?? his little smile is so sweet. and he cares about aemie so when she says she loves zeke, he gives up despite being in love for years. I wouldn't mind aemie setting him up with Kaiser hahaha the chaos and he ain't even gay lolol
16 eps seems way more than needed for this typa show. won't it be better for these to have like 12 ep? but ig the more the merrier, only if the storyline doesn't slow down or become unfunny
No she met with him later during the night to give him his bday gift, he says how he called her but it wasn't…
ugh I really hate when all the problems arise because the characters just can't have a conversation especially when it is this simple and straightforward. it is so forced for the story narrative that it is irritating.
i wanted to watch it because It seemed an easy and fun binge and since it was trending everywhere, I thought it must be really good but as you said, there is no logic. why is it so popular?
I'm at ep 1 only so no spoilers for ahead but I have to ask before I continue.
your friend calls you 39 times and you just decides let me talk to my aunt, eat dinner, have fun with your boyfriend first and then when he cuts the phone within 2 sec, you just go ahead with your night without care? 😭
and then there is another, you see your friend being alone and sad so you just ignore him and go home, not even a bye?? what even
so are the characters going to be like this whole series or it was just at the start? because ignorance is somewhat pissing me off. it is like they're doing it on purpose or they're gonna make dumber decisions in future and if so, I don't want to continue watching.
I am seeing alot of comments on why gong myung is the ML but isn't it clear that's because he fits the role? what's so hard to understand about that? i find those comments baseless tbh
it is very hard to take on a dumb FL and not make her annoying but funny.I personally laughed at her because she is clearly so delusional and stupid that it is hilarious. she is always making up the craziest scenario and kinda looks cute doing it.
not saying she is never annoying or cringe. she is but for the most part, I'm laughing at her then getting pissed at her. and I like that her mom is just as crazy because that makes sense as to why she is so delulu instead of it just being random. many pinoy movies and dramas attempt dumb FL and rarely do they succeed. most of them are annoying and irritating.
I don't think this drama would be for everyone though.
Why does that junior girl was bent on ruining FL's life? Why does Ren like her? Why is he working as a regular office head and being able to manage doing both smoothly? And especially why was it unnaturally slow? It was like watching in 0.5x
I had no interest in this series but then I saw the reel where ML is dancing in the lift and everyone else is just tryna be nonchalant. It was so funny. And I kept thinking of it since I watched it.
I'll be watching it solely because of that PR reel so whoever did that reel did their job great!
her hair is throwing me off yumi is not cute no more who chopped her like that
she looks great. i like her having different hairstyles and not your usual FL open long hair with a bow tie look. people try different hairstyles all the time and they're fun even when not their best look
i think people are not understanding the concept. it isn't about queers, the series is about a girl who loves…
they aren't suggesting anything, it is just the imagination of hers. nothing is a hint or actual element, it is her looking for a hint and being delulu. they're not doing it for marketing. this theme is quite old, not a new one. your pfp suggests you watch gmmtv series, they have the shipper which had a similar concept
So confused by the comments calling this “queerbaiting.” There’s no queerbaiting here, just a female lead…
i think people are not understanding the concept. it isn't about queers, the series is about a girl who loves queer media. she enjoys it and she writes it. it is more of a story of fujoshi rather than a wannabe yaoi.
while I haven't watch it yet, few clips I have watched is similar to the reality I have seen for the girls who enjoys watching and reading yaois. one of my friends used to ship 2 boys in our high school class because they were always holding hands and sit together hahaha
it was years ago but I can understand that it is a real experience and a funny one at that. imagination running wild rather than fetishisation or queerbait
there has to be an intervention for naming dramas "rebirth" this is getting out of hand
Chinese dramas are notorious for using same name titles for different dramas. once there was a title that I searched and 8 dramas showed up with exact name. i was so confused
They aren't gay. Just so you know, Ji Ling actually has his brother's face 💀 It will be known later in the…
I understand. i watched several more episodes and realised they are following the aesthetics of early xianxias where intimacy and proximity wasn't to show romance but to show close bonds. in today's time, due to censorship, those dialogues and portrayals are heavily used to show censored queer relationship. that's why I misunderstood. I'm pleasantly surprised by the turn this drama has taken. it reminds me so much of the chinese movies I used to watch as kids. though I'm kinda sad to know spoilers. I should have watch couple more episodes before commenting so no worries
Where did you find this about lj and jl?? In what part?
i agree with you actually. i watched several more episodes and realised they are following the aesthetics of early wuxias where intimacy and proximity wasn't to show romance but to show close bonds. in today's time, due to censorship, those dialogues and portrayals are heavily used to show censored queer relationship. that's why I misunderstood. You're lame for not understanding the cultural context yet calling others lame.
Looks like princess needs to learn some manners and education
people try different hairstyles all the time and they're fun even when not their best look
yes they were making ambiguous and funny content. it was all over my feed too. ik most people were ready to get them married lol

it must have sound really weird if that's the case 😭😭
I'm on ep 3 now, and I still feel the same but I won't be making any comment till I complete it now
