I have a big problem with Lime's politics. SZT had a point that she stayed with the company because she believed in the whole working hard pay off. The devotion, effort and time is understated. She worked her butt off and moved far away from friends/family in order to achieve her career goals. In the end, this nobody rich well-connected newbie steals her crown. It's unfair and unjust, the board is shady, and I didn't like Tracy or LN's approach that she will try to help Flora secure it the following year. The damage is done to their reputation. The unfortunate part is this is all too realistic where network connections do in fact get to places and nepotism far too real in today's society.

Can you spoil it for me? I didn't read the novel.
I remember the scene where his mom wanted a son but he wanted a daughter instead. I guess guys are weak for their baby girls.

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
Can you spoil it for me? I didn't read the novel.
Yup and their little baby daughter was Nian-Tao, so pretty and fitting. He is a doting protective dad too. I also wish they added the scene where he brings Tao to meet his parents.

Gang which other actor could've also killed Luke role?
Before this show aired, any actor perhaps cause there is no comparison. After this show, probably none I can't think of. Almost seemed like this role was catered to JBR. I read there were a bunch of pairings before they settled on the current pair so it was a match made in heaven.

It is good that she held her own. I felt second hand embarrassment for her as she looked so happy before.
I mean Luke could have given her heads up that its office politics so she doesn't feel like a clown sitting there giving an awkward speech. Unfortunately, he just assumed SZT cannot accept failure and for a moment I think she interpret that as she is a sore loser. It was a war with words in their breakup showdown and no one walked out of it feeling they won the argument.

ikr… like damn Yilia, was that really necessary 🙃
Nepo baby. Nothing admirable about that and we all saw that with the fake clapping and the people who work around SZT knew that she didn't deserve it. Already seems like a spoiled person who gets her way by shady tactics. What happened to her in the end?

I feel like the show really left out the unresolved issues with Luke and his dad who is a major bad influence to how he is. Wish it was addressed and maybe it was in those missing cut scenes. I hope they release the cut parts.

They didn’t expound on the novel version of Yilia because she had a major crush on Luke and it hurt SZT even…
If they had made this drama longer, it would probably added this part. I honestly wish they added Yilia's ending to see if she really chased after Luke.

I don't know about the rest of you but it bothered me that Flora had to give a defeat speech right after the other newbie won, it was like a double or triple punch. Like who does that, in an awards ceremony, it should be enough that the winner acknowledges the competitor in the speech. That was a gut wrenching moment.

Everyone keeps saying, “We need those 8 missing episodes back.”If those 8 episodes are more of the pre-breakup…
I think those last 8 episodes aren't post-marriage, it's most likely parts cut off from other episodes probably related to the side characters. I also noticed choppiness in some episodes and watched some BTS videos where some moments were cut off unfortunately.

Finished the whole thing. I enjoyed the ending but it felt rushed and it didn't cover everything. I was so looking forward to see NianTao ugh. I think we all need a Lumi she is honestly the most fun, carefree coworker and friend. I'm going to miss this show so much, it's been quite a journey but I'm happy they found their ending.

Super happy to have the rest of the episodes released so no more torturous daily waiting games but super sad its ending. I'll miss Luke so much, wolf wolf. The most jolly and simple one in this whole show.

Careful with that, some people here can be fierce defendants of Luke too. Personally, I see both leads are red…
And like I mentioned, I have a tendency to side with Flora in the entirety of this, because I understand why she is reacting that way. What I am pointing out that she is still a flawed character. She wouldn't be in tears so many times if she was really happy in their relationship. The way he talks down to her all the time and thinks he's above everyone. So I get all that. But I also understand some instances that are going on Luke's end and so I didn't want to dismiss why he reacts to the things he does, and it for sure doesn't dismiss his own red flags. I think any normal couple would have ended things before it got that toxic.

Your comment seems so farfetched, I can't even...LOL. Thanks for the comedy though.
And you are correct, episode 4 ended when they were still at her place and him carrying the drunkin' Flora to his place so it's actually episode 5 when they started their secret relationship.

Her flags signs aren't as way more pronounced as Luke. And this is my opinion, she exhibits her own signs of grey flags with deep insecurities and can be passive-aggressive. While both fail entirely in the communication dept, she internalizes her suffering, hides major aspects of her personal life, and participates heavily in a cycle of toxic secrecy and acts stubborn at times.

She's been chronically dishonest and gives mixed signals, jealous of Luke's childhood friend but never talks to him about what bothers her instead she goes on that she wants to end this because of their hierarchy. She didn't even explain the "problem" but chose to give up and Luke was just left head scratching.

She was going through a tough time through the harassment case but like Luke said, what does she take him for if not boyfriend since he was the last to know. While she had her reasons which I understood but I'd feel frustrated if I was in Luke's shoes, how she views his importance in her life and whether he's reliable for support etc., despite him going through a rough time himself.

She suddenly brings up her bucket list and marriage when they had their mini-fight but when Luke hesitates, she handles the rejection by shutting down completely. Luke being a red flag himself didn't give the best answer so I can say truce to this scenario.

She joined a dating app and built up a lot of followers and it had false info, which she is not at fault since it was to help out a friend, but it's inconsiderate how her partner would feel finding out the way he did. I didn't like how he went full on bashing her either.

I can go on but like I said, for me Luke is still the bigger red flag but she's not a bystander in the fallout of their relationship either. Takes two to tango.

In Ep 12. When Taotao was sick, she repeatedly asks Luan Nian to take her home. He (roundaboutly) refuses to do…
Careful with that, some people here can be fierce defendants of Luke too. Personally, I see both leads are red flags but I judge Luke as redder than her because of what he says even though his thoughts mean well, but his emotions are too unrestrained and I find it hard to swallow if ever put into the exact same situation. Flora is not at fault for the situations she puts herself in, and her lack of communication, but I sort of relate as well why she hesitates. I saw a bit of effort to communicate today.

Luke is not the worse either, he tries his best to understand her but then he abruptly switches on and off with boss to boyfriend mode or calm to anger instantaneously and I can see why Flora says she cannot read those blurred lines anymore, to which she needs to ask sometimes. Precisely why I side with Flora a bit more (not 100%) is because she has that much more to lose. I want this separation to happen because they really reset their relationship.

The much needed anticipated breakup scene is coming up. The hurt in their eyes throwing daggers at each other. Why did I spend 6 years with someone who degrades me. And I could have spent those years with anyone else. We are accompanying these two to a journey of hurt and heartbreak. I normally don't enjoy these these scenes, but am looking forward to it strangely especially after today's episode was so deep and depressing. It's the only way out of this is separation and healing.

Why didn’t Flora get pregnant when Luke deposited his seeds in her in E3. Is Luke impotent?

I know these two were at it with misunderstandings and each ep brings a red flag with one or the other or both. Luke is clearly consumed with jealousy today that he keeps throwing daggers at Flora. The fact that she hugged her friend does look like it would create misunderstanding, but I found Luke's handling of the situation quite bad with the silent treatment, yelling and accusations against her with personal attacks is unwarranted. I get its the heat of the moment but he needs to control his temper better. Flora was a bit more mature here where she actually reached out by knocking on his car door and actually explained the situation and why she did it, that's a rare moment where she wants to soothe it out with him since she was also lacking in the communication dept. I give props to him for amending their relationship in last ep too.

These two are having a contest to see who collects more red flags. Nonetheless, their grey characters is what keeps me invested.

Express should've been 20-24 or atleast 4 episodes. Wdym express for 3 ep? better just do 1 day gap for them as…
I'm surprised they milked it to the last 4 episodes. I've seen shows where they express more episodes than that. Guessing its popularity perhaps?
