Very bittersweet indeed. I want this to drag to 40 episodes but I can't see them going back and forth with misunderstandings either.

Poor SZT, that must suck when the rules changed and ruined her promotion chances. The effort and disappointment must be exhausting. Lumi also said this new girl bought her way up too, she's definitely up to no good. I highly doubt she'll have any impact romantically with ML since we don't have much episodes left for her to cause more drama.

Let's give props to Luke's mom for adding comedy today (did you use protection?). She is a secret fan of CP like we are? Both lover and doggie Luke are clingers in full display.

I'm already getting bad vibes from her now. So now she gets a promo cause she has strong financial backing? Feel for FL and it's going to sting after working so hard from the bottom to assert her capabilities. She's not the main obstacle but her presence already serves as a catalyst for our OP. And why did Luke do that?

So this new girl, how did you get a promo over SZT? Connections or what? she interested in Luke? She literally started not too long ago and doesn't have any achievements while SZT worked her ass off for 14 months in a faraway region. I'd be pissed if I were her too.

Yeah it gets rather dark. I thought they would have changed this part but guess they are keeping it. It's also going to be a big turning point of the relationship too.

I tend to stay away from threads during popular show runs but it was too hard to stay away from this one lol. I heard POJ had a fair share of that so I'm glad I did. But that is just nuts. Shouldn't it be moderated that these people don't create multiple accounts or get permanently banned. Or maybe report them if they do that. I do find that MDL negative comments are getting out of hand at times and some find it their right to be awful online.

I have the urge to reply back to those haters but stopped short because I don't want a chain of non-stop bashing based on a difference in opinion. It's just not worth the trouble. Glad there are decent viewers here.

Yeah I know this thread has good reviewers which I immensely enjoy reading throughout our collective journey on this show. But I can't help feel there's a bunch of commenters who just personally bash you for having another opinion. Give me a good rebuttal but don't come and calling me blind for not seeing it through your lens. It's distasteful and insulting.

Whether one decides to side with ML or FL, for both leads or against them, I hope people would be civil, respectful and constructive why they disagree instead of bashing or leaving rude comments to think they have a better understanding of the relationship. This is the one thing I hate leaving my own POV here, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Calling others blind ain't it.

They really need to separate to grow. It's much needed if not required at this point to figure things out.

Isn't it ironic that Luke is turning out to be like his ex? His approach to "you can't cling but don't leave" is backfiring spectacularly. Ep20 is going to the turning point where he needs to drop the polished boss persona who is in control. It's refreshing to see true independence in that it is she that's the one who decides when to stay and when to walk away personally and professionally.

I think he's in fear. Fear of the unknown, fear to take a leap of faith with someone he thinks is still a question mark. To each other, they are both unpredictable and unreliable to be a life-long partner. They enjoy the companionship even if it comes with toxicity and it's hard to break away from it. He's breaking away from the friends with benefits with no strings to attached and he's afraid what that will bring. Flora has been bad with how she communicates, unless they bring down that barrier and he begins to believe in the word "trust" then it's just going to continue to amount more hurt down the road.

I get that its like his habit to have a sharp tongue but I cannot help feel if I was in Flora's situation, I'd feel like a wounded animal coming out of this. There is only so many porcupine quills and bee stings one can take before they take the survive and flight approach.

That's a shame. I knew this level of popularity he's getting is bound to bring a small but vocal segment of crazies along with it who cannot detach from Lian Nian and JBR because he made it that irresistible and believable.

To her credit, she is still a flawed and developing character coming to her own. It may be cause she has this underground complicated relationship and she has gotten so use to that fact. But the bright point was when she appears to have given some serious thought about what direction to take this relationship near the end, took the first step to communicate with him about her bucket list and I think she wants to reveal him as her official BF. But its hurtful to have him say he hasn't given a thought about their future. I'm still stumped with his words, like dude really? I think it's just hurting words because he's jealous.

I just want these two to work it out and like just TALK about your feelings instead of creating misunderstanding and then using fighting words on-and-off.

That's exactly what I think. They are at the boiling point where the relationship doesn't work. Flora is at that development stage where she is no longer submissive can be independent to make her decisions but she is poor at communicating it. Luke is overprotective and overbearing with his sharp tongue and cannot hold back his explosive emotions when things don't go right. They need a serious reset for cooler heads to prevail.

I'm curious Luke's rationale for having no thoughts of their future. Are they just hurt words in the moment cause he can't get past her previous male friends? He's being incredibly immature and he does need a dose of reality check. Does he actually want to string her along forever in this ambiguous secretive relationship? The arrangement worked that way in the start but it would wear anyone down with the uncertainty and questions about what the end game is.

I'm not sure if its the impeccable acting and natural chemistry both leads exude, I can't help think they aren't just acting cause it seems to realistic, nothing feels forced or exaggerated and just the raw subtle emotions when they on screen. I guess this is another prime example of a "soulmate partner" in the industry. If JBR didn't already have a steady relationship, I'd feel like they'd have something special irl. Nonetheless, I hope they collaborate in another project again soon.

My assumption is that he thinks Flora is a challenge cause she pushes away his direct advances. Him targeting her specifically is probably an ego thing, that he conquered someone who is against him. I can't wait until we get the email and him getting pummeled by Luke nonetheless.

On a side note, why do female colleagues feel compelled to work in a male coworker's hotel room? Shouldn't business be conducted in a public setting in a conference room? It's such a red flag to see Dony in sleep wear while the women are going to his door for a business update.
