Well I binged watch to the end, wow, such a dud. The ending is predicable, dull and boring and flat. It had potential but then had no plot or substance but used ALOT of fillers. I can't even sit through the whole thing before FF. The last few eps also focus on the love story for the supporting leads. Man, I am surprised I stuck to the end and glad that it's finally over.
Think of it as please respect the audience which they (as in the whole team) didn't do. No one is "hating" on…
It's not a dumb analogy. You might not agree but this is what happens IRL, the name of the restaurant is etched to the food and service they received when they visited the first time. Again, first impressions. And Word travels first, "I went there, the food taste horrible. Don't go there." I've heard countless times. When someone ask, "did you visit this new restaurant?" and then usually the answer is: "yes the food and service was so terrible. I don't recommend." Do you actually hear: "yes the the food and service was so bad but I recommend going there cause maybe it might be better the next time around, maybe they just hired one bad chef." And I find it strange why you are criticizing people for having standards too. I have no comments on Derailment, just so you know, I don't comment on shows I never watched.

Fair enough. I also cannot tolerate people who attack her personally especially with looks. Focus on the acting. But there is that fine line she is treading: the fact she is in a passionate drama with a lot (and I mean that) of kiss scenes and she's a no-kiss actress. I agree that they shouldn't be commenting on her non-aired ones either based on this drama. But as you see, first impressions matter and it trickles down to her whole career. If a person goes to a restaurant and the food and service is terrible, would they ever going back? Probably not, people will leave bad Google reviews and not tip. Same thing here.
Interesting you now mention you haven't watched this drama yet, then what are you pushing back other people thoughts on this when you don't have an understanding of the context? I suggest you read the novel and watch the whole show then you might have a different pov why people are saying what they see.
She low-key finds it uncomfortable to be touched by male co-stars or any males and it's very evident in the behind-the-scenes…
Think of it as please respect the audience which they (as in the whole team) didn't do. No one is "hating" on her as a person and her boundaries which you repeated say. She is a very pretty girl, that's a fact. From what I see here, most are just giving constructive criticism on her performance in this drama only for reasons you already know. Your her hard-core fan, but mind you, many people who are posting here, this is their first time watching her. It'd be hypocritical to say she is so good when its not, you want people to lie to themselves?
She might be a bonafide star in other movies, but first impressions matter and she simply looked awkward as hell, man, I felt that hard when I watched her. It's ok for her to have boundaries, no one is saying she sucks for that. I don't know her circumstances why she "chose or be chosen" but if a project generates criticism, guess where the blame goes to right away? I've said it multiple times, she just too green in romance genres. Sure she can improve but if it makes her squirm again, why force herself to be miserable doing it and viewers have to feel it? Is it entirely her fault alone? Probably not. You can blame it on the director, production crew, agency but in the end, it's still her career and she holds a lot of weight too in how it looks.
Ngl, I can't even watch her in another romance ever again cause you know I have expectations, but maybe I'll opt to see her in other genres.
It’s not about the kiss scene for me but this drama has no chemistry at all. The female lead character is not…
The problem with XZ is that she never really reciprocates in any relationship. Her friend is a busybody but I can see she makes every effort to keep in touch of what is going on her life. Same for CLZ, he is persistent in loving her. Everyone seems to gravitate towards her orbit and she doesn't even fazed by it that she has these genuine people who care for her. I find her like a spoiled princess. Everything is about how she feels, what excites her or annoys her, she'll put them on standby mode or tell them to take a jog. You're right, she doesn't seem like a simple person to have any relationship with. It takes two to tango but all I see is one-sided. She still hasn't demonstrate much even if they just randomly got back together cause I still see CLZ taking more action to salvage it and we're almost done this show.
Just watched the recent ep, the shoddy fake kiss and near kiss is still there but it seemed less faker than the earlier ones. I can't say it's an upgrade. At the very least, it didn't fade to an object or the sky. FL is still acting like an experience flirt but all words really, but she's still pretentious as ever.
For me they shouldn't have tried so hard to make the kissing scenes, it looks silly. Having better script to portray…
Just curious though, how would you portray passion without intimate scenes? Kissing a forehead should be up next but it's not passion, just cute. What they have now is just puppy love.
Yeah she has been like that from the beginning, looks like nothing has changed from where i dropped the drama…
I mean I get it, there are always others who stan an actor/actress regardless if they are good or bad. I just can't tolerate those who attack others for having an opinion that doesn't favor their bias. And I came in bias free since I don't really follow either leads, I just comment what I see based on the show I am currently watching. But there is obvious issues in this drama and it's even more glaring with how it's depicted from the novel. I can't solely blame it on her for all the faults but she is definitely a big part in it.
bro the actress doesn't control the character and how they should react to it, u guys r js hating her for no reason…
I am analyzing and criticizing her based on her character now in this romance drama, not other ones. It doesn't even look like she has done much of this type of genre either. Also, I never pitted her as a terrible actress overall, she just doesn't have it for this type of romance and it clearly shows. She can't even put any effort to act out a fake kiss, her ability to emote feels non-existent here, now you can say it's the poor editing or its the production team and director's fault, it doesn't excuse her from everything else, why else is a trending topic? - do you honestly believe she had no say in anything? It's a collective effort when the audience sees the end result, no one is going sugarcoat for what it is. She is not "the" problem, she is just part of the problem.
Quite simply put, if a top employee but keeps making the same mistake in one area and the boss doesn't speak up, the person will continue making them instead of acknowledging that there is a problem.
Totally agree. Although this is the first project I've seen for both the leads, I can clearly see that they're…
It goes both ways. I'm not sure how it entirely works, but I assume she may or may not have auditioned for the role and just had it cherry picked for her. They knew the ramifications of choosing this type of idol drama when she has these strict boundaries - but they chose it for popularity knowing full well she cannot deliver. It certainly didn't seem like she took this project to challenge herself. So it's actually disrespectful to the novel fans and audience. I don't know how involved she is in the process but I do know that she lost a lot of opportunities because of this no-kiss clause. Nothing wrong with having these personal boundaries but her (or agency) needs to be smarter in choosing scripts she is comfortable in and not just prance around it and expect to reap in the recognition.
Everything about this show is sooo slow. FL talks like a tortoise with how she pauses and stretch out each word and her acting is very stiff. I don't feel connection to her character. Also not much of a plot here but a lot of filler scenes. SFL is much more natural to watch.
