To be accurate, this show should be renamed to "Be Passionately fake in love." FL is definitely a miscast. I can't help picture what could have been if they casted XRH or ZY in this. Thinking of TBT and ELM.

Oh yes that was a good show. FL was great and he matches her in terms of passion.

I mean I give him extra points for even attempting to portray the scene with passion. He could make out with a stuffed doll and it'd look alright. Not so much for her part cause she isn't even trying literally. I can't help feel that she is a miscast in this. They definitely should stop with the fake kissing cause it's getting tiresome.

yeah she just stood there like a tree and not an ounce of concerted effort. At least he's trying though and appears to make it seem like he's into his character. Either it's sloppy directing or they just gave up with the whole concept.

I think we have to set aside any expectations of a real kiss, it's just not going to happen at this point. Ideally the character should have went to another actress but it is what it is. I'm just annoyed that they are continuing with the fake kiss angles, like just stop it. We are not stupid so stop making it appear like its passion. Ngl, it looks ridiculous and they know it with the wall, sun and now the rain. U kidding me?

Aside from that, I also don't feel the FL's passion for ML, she's just lukewarm and cold or indifferent to him, sometimes even towards her relationship with other people. And dare I say, I find her a tad arrogant in some respects, maybe cause she's the "it-girl?" it could be interpreted as playful flirting or overconfidence whatnot but can also be inconsiderate, imo. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah not going to happen ever. Like zero percent and it's quite obvious. We're all just getting see a happy go lucky FL who pretend that just happened.

Oh great another fake angle kiss. I see passion with ML but the FL looks wooden. I mean if she's just acting and not kissing, can't she just move from the back of head to make it a little more convincing smh.

Chemistry is certainly off in some instances where it seems choppy. We see his expressive sad eyes staring at her while she is all smiley or expressionless like nothing is going on. Not sure if they are in alternative universe sometimes.

I can't wait for that one, I think that spring banquet might be his break out role too.

That will be spicy, I don't mind a love triangle in this case since Qianluo had to fight so hard to get XS attention. I'd be nice to see him put some effort to strengthen their relationship. Thanks for sharing!

The novel definitely made her as a daring character, she was the only one who usually initiates any intimacy, the ML is much more traditional and reserved. LHC can't be doing this type of project if she can't portray the very essence of the character, it's really doing her character and a disservice to herself as a rising actress.

If you read below, you probably know the FL has a no-kiss clause so that's why you are seeing the funny camera angles with the wall and the sun. If you haven't already, read the novel cause it captures that passion.

I do think that her appearance wasn't that good in S1, its just the styling though which can be easily corrected since she's really beautiful in modern clothes. So hopefully they change that to accentuate her features. Acting wise, I didn't find her character annoying at all. She had very few scenes to work with his the main focus was on the guys only. Hopefully that all changes, please keep us updated with her S2 scenes too! Thank you.

Yup it's actually adapted from a Korean webtoon which I find better.

She really has a bubbly personality. I loved her character in the first season but she was getting a lot of hate there. I still remember me trying to defend for the poor girl. Some people were attacking not only her character, but personally.

Cause it's the japanese adaptation of it.

Interesting take on it. I think it could be possible that her agency is trying to get her international fame and popularity through this drama, it has a similar taste to TBT which also surged the popularity of their stars. This storyline seems to hit the right notes and both leads are visually appealing. LHC has her own values and that's fine if she doesn't want to compromise it but that conflicts with how the storyline is suppose to go. The audience has a right to voice their criticisms. They can't possibly know that if she signed up for this project and doesn't deliver, everyone will turn a blind eye to it. They can't even hide the problem, it's just that glaring on screen. The fact she or her agency accepted this script knowing what it entails, were they thinking that they could either skirt around those type of scenes or that force her into doing things she's uncomfortable with? As a public figure, she and her agency will have to deal with those consequences.

To be honest, I feel as though he is carrying this show in the romance aspect. His expressive eyes definitely exuded passion. LHC is a good actress too but not for this type of romance and passion, or lack of. They covered only high school so I think I'll able to give it a pass, but as adults and getting back together after separation, I'd expect some "passion" there but I'm not sure if she can deliver it. It's a huge question mark now. But I am extremely doubtful now. If they do another fake camera angle, this comment section is gonna lose it again, that I'm sure of.
