Who is mgy? I am trying to figure out who he looks like.
It's a she and she's korean. Moon Ga Young in True Beauty.

We are down to the last 2 episodes of this madness. I hope they don't include any forced kiss scenes cause it's going to be as awkward than ever. It's so weird, I usually love watching dramas for just the chemistry alone even if the script sucks, but this was one of the few times where I don't want them together cause it makes me feel awkward with them, they just look so uncomfortable with each other and the incompatility shows. Seems people are saying they are usually serviceable from their previous works so the casting decision seems questionable.

I cannot even remember what happened in ep1, just that it was slow and boring. A zero rating is too bad, but it deserves a 1 just for the visual element. I hear that the two leads had good previous works individually. I hope the leads never work together as they look awkward and have no chemistry.

Korean version wasn't the best either, it has it flaws. Maybe I didn't read all the comments but people actually thought this was better than the Korean one? I also knew that this Thai version was bad after the first episode, just the acting alone was way worse. I cannot even give it a 5 at this point, it's so bad.

Some ways I agree with you. I feel like I am wasting time watching this show thinking it would get better, but…
That's fair. I'm coming from an unbiased standpoint cause I don't know stan anyone. Jane seems to be doing a pretty job here at being an antagonist she's carrying this drama pretty hard, not to say the same about Baifern, I haven't watched her previous dramas so I cannot say she is a bad actress overall, but her acting is terrible here, maybe it's the combination of bad script that didn't help her case. ML Win just is equally bad, I cannot even tell if he's mad, sad or happy, has no charisma or chemistry with anyone, appears like he's just paid to stand there.

It's really Jane is FL material that is carrying this drama cause clearly the supposed leads are mindlessly boring…
Yes I don't recommend this either for sanity purposes. But since we started, we might as well finish the mess. Almost all of the actors/actresses (especially the leads) need some more training classes.

I think this reaffirms my position that this is the worst adaptation I have ever seen. First of all, Guy and Liu's…
The Korean version is more layered and deeper when it explores some of those issues with self-confidence. Audience can relate cause they see character development which both leads here lack apparently. Win doesn't seem like ML material, he's not even trying at all, invisible, expressionless for 99% of the time and doesn't seem like he wants to be there. Liu's ignorance is appalling. Mi-rae was aware of what was happening to her surrounding and can read the room. Liu is just there to ignore the red flags and then act petrified when she finds out the truth. It's a fact that no one feels pity for her character because of her stubborn nature to ignore all warnings. Bai fern just stands there to look pretty but her bad acting is throwing me off. I cannot help chuckle with the bad script writing, Guy standing there letting himself be grabbed and kissed by Faye while Liu stands there watching in public, both keeping silent for dumb reasons and not clearing the misunderstanding.

Jane outacted everyone πŸ‘πŸ‘
She's probably the only one trying to save this crap.

Liu is the dumbest character I've ever encountered
Second that. She is completely ignorant, letting Faye walk all over her like that and her boyfriend. The fact that Faye confessed of her true self, Liu just sobbed, held to her hands and reiterated to her she wants to continue to be friends. Only in dramas does this happen people.

People here complaining about the story and the characters as if the original was a big deal, LOL! have mercy…
Some ways I agree with you. I feel like I am wasting time watching this show thinking it would get better, but each passing episode becomes increasingly frustrating. I definitely didn't expect it to be perfect, neither is the korean version but didn't expect it to be this BAD. IMO this has been one of the worst Thai series I have seen, couple with the cringe acting, stupidity, ignorance and silliness from all corners is unbearable at times. I wonder to myself why I didn't drop it earlier to save my brain cells LOL but I usually try to finish what I started with. I guess the good thing is that they got everyone talking about how bad it is.

FL is MGY doppelganger. I can't unsee it from every angle. ML is so handsome too. The way they look at each other is so swoon-worthy. Too much chemistry to not do another rom-com. The kiss can be a little bland but they can make it up by working on another project together, hopefully season 2, if not, re-make True Beauty Thai version. Haven't seen a fun and witty Thai show like this for a long time!

Thank god there's only 2 episodes left, because I have had enough!I honestly really enjoyed the first few episodes,…
Both Liu and Guy are so soft, it's frustrating watching both of them, no progression in their actions just more passiveness letting Faye walk over them. Guy just stood there with no expression and Liu is as dense as a doorknob. Maybe the director planned to set it up that way to make the audience get a reaction cause they sure aren't following the Korean version, which was much more better executed to feel for the characters.

its kinda funny through because guy didnot even say anything imao
I was literally rolling my eyes. Like really? The actor himself is a robot and just bad at acting. He looked like he was fine with being Faye's fake boyfriend to me.

A perfect remedy for insomnia. All the actors speak slowly and quietly, and nothing they say really matters, and…
Yes it's first Thai drama I watched where the conversations lead to nowhere. Just a whole bunch of words and nothing substantial.

Faye's circle of friends is the most gullible set of friends ever😭😭
Just goes to show how fake Faye can be as well. She plays her part well.
On Beauty Newbie Mar 26, 2024
Liu is getting to my nerves. She is that dense to the end? Why did they dumb her down that much. Even during the confrontation, all she did was look helpless. With Mi Rae, you can see found her courage and confidence but Liu looks a straight-up dead defeated fish standing there all petrified. Seriously girl, ever single person, except for Faye's lousy friends, can see what's up, she just chose to be ignorant when she was warned by multiple people. I can't help laughing that she really didn't suspect a thing. Got to give it to her for keeping a straight face. The part where I disliked about this storyline in particular is that Faye's narcissistic behavior also stems from the all those enablers, including her terrible mother and tweets from social media. I don't care of her selfish reasons, to harm someone just because of her own bad situation, she doesn't deserve any redemption for her bullying ways. Guy shares the blame as I am convinced he is almost a robot, void of emotions, him staring at Faye is getting weird and allowing others to continue their stupid shipping behavior, him letting Faye continue with her lies, standing still while she is hugging and kissing him in public and not saying a thing. That's literally harassment right there. I don't care what his reasons are but he should not allow even for Liu's sake . This drama is frustrating each episode.
On Beauty Newbie Mar 25, 2024
This drama is becoming a snooze fest right now. Liu still has no confidence and ignorant of Faye. The endless slow conversations seems like filter that can shorten this show into 15 minutes. Why does SML take up half of the episode while ML barely gets screen time? It's not like ML's character is all that interesting but he almost seems like a side character for drama purposes. The apparent lack of chemistry is even more evident with the confession scene, no fireworks, more awkwardness, no heart-fluttering moments but just seems like going through the motions. Drama seems so badly directed, how much worse can they make it?
On Ready, Set, Love Mar 25, 2024
I didn't expect much but it was a pretty good drama, did not feel boring at all. I love the chemistry between the cast. Totally unexpected but what a gem! Season2 let's go!!!
On Queen of Tears Mar 24, 2024
this drama started out very interesting but the last few episodes felt bland as they added too much filler scenes that I felt myself FF and only watching here and there, of course the last few minutes to the end. The actors/actresses are fine but the plot is so-so right now for me. Hope things really pick up soon.
