The signs were all there that this wasn't a show based on merit alone. Episode 2 was a reminder of how soul-crushing and the cruel treatment was part of becoming an idol, LSG got bashed hard and it made me change the way I thought of him. He even said that looks is a talent so him being high on Xin Che's doll-like appearance (kinda freaky imo) is not surprising. I still don't know why fans are spending $$$ over time and again knowing full well that the results are fixed and to generate controversy. All these shows are painted with the same brush. I also get the sense that not all the contestants want to debut there, some drop out too but it's just a show to get exposure so I guess it's a win-win for everyone involved except for the fans who lose.

I learned a hard lesson, never expect anything more from these survival shows. It's always the same old format. Hopeful potential candidates, more drop out near the end due to the blatant rigging and the winners are mixed with those that deserve it with random underserving contestants promoted by the company. It never bolds well with the audience and the negative criticisms that follows. I kept a non-cholent mindset coming to this one knowing full well that the results are fixed and no surprise, the amount of angry comments here is exactly what I expected no less. It would be novel if they actually fully based on merit. Guess what, the companies don't care if fans are fed up with it, they keep pulling the same crap every SINGLE time. Fans should stop paying $$$ for this, a complete waste of money.

I've watched survival shows like these before and the finale is always rigged, they always add in some random contestant so the downfall is the least surprising. I can't get upset like others since I knew it was expected no less.

So rigged and I knew it was going to happen. I kind of get why Xinche was selected even though he wasn't the most talented but that number 3 winner came out of nowhere, his company must be pushing hard for it to happen. Just look it up: Idol Youth Entertainment is a Chinese music label and entertainment agency. The company was created by iQIYI to manage its survival show project groups, the same company that sponsored/created the show. Not fair but money talks.

The storyline is getting borderline annoying ever since the husband left. FL has just a sad storyline and you can't help feel bad for her but she chose this difficult path to live like this. She has all these evil characters pinning against her, especially with the introduction of a mole with the little bro's new wife. I feel she had such a strong start building up even though she had no power but after each episode, she became lonelier and more depressing to watch, sulking after a crappy husband that abandoned her. ML is stuck in this vortex around her and I don't see getting away unscathed.

I knew from the beginning of this show that it's gonna be rigged. The fact that you had spent money on this....I highly doubt these types of show are done fairly.

I think there's rigging going on here, it's so blatantly obvious. Honestly not surprised here, I've seen other survival shows and the top players are questionable too. Companies do that all the time. The ranking numbers seem to be made-up too, I doubt that much people voted seriously.

second couple is so boring but they are given way too much screen time that I skip them each time to shorten the episodes. Even then I think it's a little draggy now. I rather see more of main lead couple interactions.

yeah me as well, never interested in saejeuks but this one popped off my interest right away, it's a captivating story with excellent acting that balances seriousness, romance and comedy.

Episode 3 was the bomb, everything is happening so fast I can't keep up but the pace is just right. Everything is done just right, my addiction on weekends. Disappointed only 1 episode this weekend but am so looking forward to the next.

The kisses are so passionate than the dead fish ones I've seen from kdramas. No disappointment from KSJ she always deliver a good one, however, I am surprised about LWJ since it's his first one and he did it so well considering he is new on this. I suppose she helped him feel relaxed about it.

Tbh I found the second leads scenes really boring like just fillers after the first few episodes and nothing really special so I end up fast forwarding.

Wow! That kiss was so FIRE. The main leads chemistry is so sweet, admirable and mature. I feel like they focus too much on the second leads which I thought was meh. It's almost ending soon too.

I found something on my bucket list to watch. Episode 1 was off to an interesting start and then the second cemented it to be one of favs going forward to continue on.

Highly doubt it will air this month so tamper your expectations, the rumors are that it is promoted in next years lineup. The waiting game continues...
