After watching all the episodes, I can say that LYF is the worst character, which CZ reiterates in one episode because of his deception and hiding the truth from her regardless of his good intentions. I can say he didn't redeem himself after what happened to CZ in her first life. He repeated makes the same mistakes over and over again but every time he feels sorry for her, he just gives off a sad look but does nothing to prevent CZ from torture instigated from her foes. Where was he for the whole freaking 3 years until he magically decide to re-appear at the right timing to save her from becoming a demon? Don't even get me started with the constant line he uses to come back with him or trying to hold her hand, it's becoming tiresome and frankly annoying, especially for a scorned women to hear that after everyone around her failed to protect her, with the deception/lies and enemies lurking on all corners. He can't possibly understand what she had to endure. Any normal person would have gone mad. I would have thought he showed some redemption this time around, but nope, he seriously doesn't deserve her at this point.

I love watching this show. It seems like the fans focus on Shenye pairing but I actually really like Fiona and Daniel's chemistry, it's so cute and natural mix with her funny personality and his shy/reserved nature.

Anyone else can't wait to see the uproar and other character's reaction in the aftermath of today's cliffhanger? I actually think this is where the plot thickens and we will see the division amongst the immortal realm.

I get where you are coming from but it doesn't dismiss what he did no matter how cruel it was. I still stand by what I think of him since I started watching this show, he didn't do much to change my mind. Maybe he gets some redeeming qualities in the later episodes but definitely not after today's episode which the majority feels the same.

Yeah it was poorly done for sure. They sure did a disservice to the ML cause they have to try harder to give him a better redemption arc. But so far I haven't seen much emotion in his face, eyes or mouth. He is such a boring character so far. I wish they chose someone else for the role who can emote better.

After what he did, I think no one wants them to hold hands smiling at the end like everything is forgiving in fairy tale land, but because she deserves better and he just ain't it.

I agree. The point is if she had chosen any of the other guys, she would not have to go through the torment after the tragedy from her first life. It's hard to ignore the fact that she was given options and told of the hard path she'll have to walk for entangling with someone she isn't suppose to but she chose to take the hard path. It's her stubborn nature and the fact that she has an evil breath which is a recipe for disaster, so I can't feel totally sorry for her.

Honestly this is the first time I wish they she doesn't end up with him in the end cause he doesn't deserve her at all. It's not her innate evil breath that makes her go through torture but her selfless love for her doofus master.

It's too hard to be kind to him after what he did in the latest episode. I just don't like his character in general perhaps. He is too controlling and hard to read sometimes cause he plays mind games. WJ, no matter if he was on both sides of good/evil would not do what ML on impulse. Maybe in the next few episodes he might redeem himself.

Wan Jie is like the most intriguing character in this whole drama. He really stole the show even with this brief storyline which made it so much more interesting. The actor is really good, much better than the boring stoic ML who has zero chemistry with the FL imho.

Yes even if it's a family relationship and they are not romantically linked, I still like their relationship way better than with her Master. Something about ML irks me, maybe it's the position he's in or his personality or lack of.

Fair take. I was just thinking that out of all the guys she is linked with, she has the best chemistry with WJ. I find their relationship more natural. ML is just too stoic, maybe it's his character, but I can't tell by the lack of expression but really not feeling it. Maybe it'll be better in the later episodes.

I am liking this new drama so far but I think it's about to be angsty soon. I wish they would drop childish and pouty FL soon cause it's kind of annoying at times with the dubbed voice. Just in terms of the chemistry, I think the master-disciple relationship is good and should stay that way, I don't like them having to go the romantic route. She has a list of admirers already. Ngl, I wish they make Wan Jie with CZ instead of LYF, they just ooze chemistry with the brief time spent together. He doesn't even fit the definition of 'uncle' just by the looks of it. In the order of my preference would be WJ, QK, ZH, squeeze in Senior Mu right here then maybe LYF.

I find her endearing and the interactions between her and XS is so adorable and funny as they are complete opposites so it brings light humor in the show. She is like his light and protector which is a stark contrast to the damsel and distress we are so use to seeing. The awkward romantic scenes is intended captures their affections and shyness. I really hope that they both work on a future project together and bring more chemistry in a different role. Although her hairstyle is quite poor compared to the animation.

It's a satisfying end and I hope they consider doing a sequel for this as it's getting popular but I guess there won't be much material to cover unfortunately. Even nicer if they just do a special to the whereabouts of each character.

I agree with your points but what I meant was also that some were attacking her as an actress too undeservingly which seriously raises an eyebrow. Her character and purpose is underdeveloped that's on the writer too.

Yeah I get where you are coming from. I had to defend another FL in this other drama and there was so much hate towards her that it became unbearable. And the worse ones also attack the people who try to reason with them. It's an uphill battle sometimes. There are constructive criticisms which is always good but there's those who rant every single episode about how they hate her very existence is seriously annoying.

I am caught up so I meant there's 8 more episodes to go. She's good on my books so far but she doesn't have much screen time for more character development.

Man they look funny with that hair and gesture. I can't shake off his XS image.

But she does, she speared his heart lol. She's such a sweet loyal cute character. People got to stop hating. Maybe if she didn't fall for XS then people would chill. FYI-You have 7 more plenty eps to defend her.
