DoS = Descendents of the Sun? Yeah, it bored me to tears up till around ep 6 then I had to say goodbye. The only thing good there was the theme song, very nice. Vincenzo was the same for me. Boring. I haven't watched The Glory. Sometimes not-so hyped up dramas can be better. That's why I mentioned CLOY. It's hyped up but it lived up to it.

Then I read up about him and found out he's SK's highest paid actor π― So I started watching his other dramas but never passed ep 1 or 2 π€£ He's ok/good but the absolute best?? Yes, his IG posts hit 6-figure likes within minutes. Some people are just luckier than others, I guess. In this drama, I keep feeling that his lips are kinda dry ππ

I'm just bearing with it because of all the glowing headlines I read about it on social media and entertainment news articles. Not just CLOY but dramas like Reborn Rich and Love from Another Star were pretty absorbing too. But this? hmm...
The ratings for this poor drama dropped to 5.8% (8th) for ep 57 and 6.7% (5th) for ep 59. So far it's highest is 8.7% for ep 3. I really feel bad for the actors involved. Those not involved must be thanking their lucky stars. Kudos to HW's original MIL who left and came back as her own twin!!! Brave woman. I'm only watching sporadically to see how in the world are they going to resolve this in the end. Tbh I don't even know what there is to resolve coz I dunno what's the issue anymore.....
I think they got the idea of the date on wrist thing from "In Time" (starring Justin Timberlake). Managing to overcome their tragic fates the second time around is also a borrowed idea. Still, I find this drama watchable, partly because it's short (only 12 episodes - no unnecessary twists and turns). I'm glad that Se Hyeok got what he wanted in the end i.e. Yoo Ra hahaha, serves him right. That guy who dropped the ring in the final moments of ep. 12 does resemble Kim Seon-ho (Hometown Cha Cha Cha lead actor). For a moment I thought KSH made a cameo appearance.
I still haven't checked the news to be sure but it's rather obvious the writer has been changed and the new one…
How did KBS mess this one up so badly? I remember when I was watching the previous drama, Elegant Empire, some viewers here were complaining about it and can't wait for this drama to replace it (partly becos of the lawyer guy). Now look what they've dished up lol. The ratings are really low.

You're right. HW does have this perennial sour, worried look that makes it hard for us to symphatise with her. Her new wavy hairdo is no better than the previous straight one. In fact, it makes her look even more maternal.
A cute drama that I enjoyed. Unlike most makjangs, there isn't/aren't (a)super detestable character(s) that raises your blood pressure with all his/her/their evil doings. The 6yo younger son of the family is really cute.
I just recently came back to watch this after a long break just to see what's going on. Noticed that several characters have died (HW's dad, mum-in-law, husband, grandma-in-law). I wonder if it's part of the original story or is it because those actors want out of this trainwreck? And the new guy (HW's old flame), was his name in the original cast list? Noticed that now he's listed as one of the mains π€
I'm only at S2, ep. 3, and I think Bae Ro Na is a spoilt brat as bad as Seok Kyung and Eum Byeol. It's because of her stubbornness, selfishness and tantrums that drove her mum to do that to Min Seol-A, then now she wants to defy her mum by returning to Korea and begging that witch to return to her school. These kids deserve a tight slap to wake them up. The parents (Shim Su Ryeong, Dr Ha, Oh Yun Hee) are just too doting π‘π€

I'm at ep 14 now. The story is really quite intriguing. They picked all the right actors for the parts. Cheon Seo Jin is the personification of evil herself from her cruel eyes to her overly red downturn lips to the ugly drawl in her voice.. ugghh!! She and Joo Dan Tae are a match made in heaven. Can't stand it when he does the O shape with his mouth.
Some of their spoilt rich kids are just as bad as the adults. Slander, bully, evil.. they picked all those ugly traits up.
The PE teacher is a nice contrast to all that evil. Love his American accent as Logan Lee. Can any Korean viewers please tell me what accent he adopts as the PE teacher? It sounds like some Korean dialect.

Anyway, they should put in more effort in the lip synching while singing to be more believable. just thinking if I should proceed with this. It's pretty toxic stuff β£οΈ
