User feedback on sites like Douban don’t really tell the full picture since it’s unregulated and bias feedback.

Douban means nothing, Eternal Love Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms has 6.5 and it’s one of the most watched dramas. So they made another one.

So I predict that the second season will be a big budget Tencent S Class drama which probably means 2 high traffic leads to make up for all the money they will need to recoup!
