Exactly, the TV networks have data on how many unique users watched the DC episodes for a minimum of 20 minutes or something like that...this is how they measure true user engagement for the drama. User feedback on sites like Douban don’t really tell the full picture since it’s unregulated and bias feedback.

Douban means nothing, Eternal Love Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms has 6.5 and it’s one of the most watched dramas. So they made another one.

So I predict that the second season will be a big budget Tencent S Class drama which probably means 2 high traffic leads to make up for all the money they will need to recoup!

Tencent is co-producing it, so it will have English subs. Plus Dilraba is a Tencent Video spokesperson.

So originally Leo wasn’t casted for this part. The original male lead was older. I heard that Leo was a super last minute replacement - and being last minute maybe this was who was available at the time. Did you guys ever consider he was the best actor who could fill in last minute? ZLY and Wibo age gap is large too and that pairing was deliberate. Anyways let’s just enjoy the show and pretend we don’t know their true age. Let the acting and screen play speak for themselves.
