you don't know the full truth though. The killer might be someone else and ML's father might have taken that blame…
If we assume SY's dad is actually not a terrible person and is only taking the blame for his son to get treatments, then the biggest mystery to me is why was he behaving like such an asshat in both the trial and when SH came to get an apology. As the father of a child, esp one with a life threatening condition I don't see why he'd act the way he did and push her down and not apologize. I'm guessing there is some context to why he acted the way he did, like maybe something happened to him just before but I don't know. His lack of empathy is really strange to me.
you don't know the full truth though. The killer might be someone else and ML's father might have taken that blame…
The congressman probably was the hit and run driver. Right before the event SH ran into the neighbor and her son. KJ probably hit GW and then they called in SY's dad to take the blame. SY's dad seems like a fixer for the congressman in exchange for SY's heart treatments. The dad stepped in to take the blame which is why the golden hour was lost as he probably wasn't nearby and they had to stage the accident. KJ probably put the kid in the car to avoid evidence and then the met up, switched drivers and then he returned to the scene. Later on, SY's mom likely figured out that the congressman actually hit the kid and probably threatened to reveal the info, so the congressman did the hit and run.
This may be a an unpopular take as we have many Cha Eun Woo fans, but I find his character pretty unlikeable with his revenge arc. It is true that SH murdered his father, but the motivation to completely dedicate his life to ruining her life after his father killed her child and showed zero remorse just seems so unreasonable for a non sociopathic/psychopathic character. Even getting his friend involved/manipulating her emotions to help with his vendetta seems crazy.
Ep 7 didn't show many progress. Here are my theories : 1. The real culprit that killed Gunwoo was the politician.…
I think its possible/likely that SY's father wasn't the killer, I'm guessing he was under the politician's thumb with something to do with SY's heart condition as leverage. But its so weird and random how inhumane he behaved in the trial/when she met him after. I can understand the trial, because maybe he was coached to act a certain way, but as a fellow parent, even if he didn't commit the act, its sickening how he behaved when she was just asking for an apology/acknoledgement. If hes actually the loving father who is the scapegoat it is hard to feel for him based on his actions/lack of empathy shown.
I think aesthetically he looks better at this weight than his previous dramas. In the drama he isn't really chunky, just a bit bulky and it suits his face/overall aesthetic. Obviously want him to be healthy, but just saying the weight doesn't look bad on him.
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. But a 9.2 rating in mdl is a huge OVEREATING/OVERREACTING 8,7 would be fair IMO,…
I feel the same way. I'm shocked this is rated as high as it is. It was good no doubt, but it is definitely not as good of a drama holistically than any of the dramas you listed. The fact it is rated higher than Moving right now is mind blowing.
So what Ki-Ho's father is up to? Ki-ho is an adult now, if his father tries to raise a hand on him again he'll…
I think it probably goes one of two ways, either the dad is obsessed with the mom/son and is pursuing as a villain, or we're being lead on that the dad is motivated by evil and is actually reaching out to make ammends/apoligize (which I actually think is more likely). If the second option is the case I'm guessing they'd add in some terminal illness for the dad for dramatic effect. I don't love it, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went either way. Regardless though, even if it is the later, the character is a domestic violence offender and has turned a blind eye to similar events as someone who is supposed to uphold the law, so they'll get no sympathy from us.
I agree with CEO being the true villiain, it wouldn't surprise me if he was instrumental in her downfall/addiction/health issues. I think there is a world where he was a true supporter of hers and either she wasn't interested in him or they had some falling out, or he has just been a prick the whole time.
Seems like longer hair ML aesthetic is catching on more. Kim Ji Hoon in Flower of Evil, Yoon Kye Sang here and Shin Seungo Ho in Weak Class Hero 1. Good trend, a lot better than all the bowl cuts/awkward parting right down the middle.
though i like bong seok , haesoo but i got angry and sad when they lied to their parents that they were going…
If anything, I feel like the fact the parents should definitely be more forthcoming about what is going on. Even if they don't want to clue them in completely, both parents could have been a lot more serious in tone when telling their kids to go home based on their perceived gravity of the situation. Fibbing about hanging out with friends while parents are coming home late is pretty par for the course during adolescence, plus Bongseok has led such a sheltered life he is even more inclined to rebel a bit.
1. ML drank it. That’s it. 2. Nobody drank it. ML appeared to drink it, but actually didn’t. But seriously,…
This seems the most likely and the best outcome. ML losing free will and being forced to like her doesn't really seem like the most romantic angle... Her being so quick to use the love potion ins't the greatest honestly either, hard to imagine she/her partner would be satisfied in a relationship formed off that kind of spell. I'm guessing either she messed up the potion or due to some special clause in the spell, maybe because he was cursed it has a different/no effect. I do think both leads being aware that ML drank the water tho will definitely lead to some interesting interactions.
I think he's her first love for sure, but does that make him Jinhee's father? I guess it has to since the drama…
I think you're spot on about him not necessarily being the father. The writing so far has emphasized Eun Mi's desire to find someone/romance as a central theme with the app etc, and it would be pretty irritating if she ended up back with Jin Hee's dad after he walked out on her. I'm thinking/hoping it was either someone she met before or after Jin Hee's dad. Seems like from the bio that he is a Dr, so it also maybe someone she met while doing her PT schooling.
starting to like sora more after the ending scene in ep 10
I like Sora and I feel like most of my investment at this point is focused on Dr Cha, her and the son and their relationship dynamic. Even Sora's "rude" moments are pretty understandable. If I was in her shoes and someone cleaned my room/violated my personal space w/o permission I would pretty ticked and additionally her choice to keep her relationships private is also completely understandable, especially given the fact that she is her significant other's superior.
But she does have external factors…she wants that Ministry of Justice position - her past is going to cause…
Definitely, I guess what I mean is that the mom currently seems to be in control of her own life as the CEO and she will definitely have to make a decision as to her career/aspirations vs YW, but at least it seems like she has full control over that decision whereas when she gave up YW, while it may have been partially her choice, there may have been other factors like her father the previous CEO of Taehan.
Honestly, I like the way Min Woo's character is written. As far as antagonists go, it is refreshing that he is written as a normal person with flaws and not some power obsessed psychopath. Despite the fact that his actions are cowardly, his motivations and self interest are pretty understandable especially in a super competitive environment such as one of the biggest law firms in Korea, and after all he is also a rookie and naive. Also, it is realistic that not everyone would be wholeheartedly supportive of YW like Soo Yeon, Junho, and Attoney Jung, especially in that environment.
I'm honestly more worried about her CEO as the major antagonist, despite the fact that so far she has been pretty supportive of YW (even if she has her own reasons), I can see her being cold and calculating to take down Taesan with YW being collateral damage. I wouldn't be surprised if a conflict between her and Attorney Jung emerges at some point, if Attorney Jung learns about YW's family, after all he is billed as a main lead, but we haven't seen too much from his character yet.
I really like the situation with her and her mother right now and that all parties involved are aware. Additionally it is refreshing that her mom is the "king" and has the power to decide how she will move forward with the knowledge of who YW is without being swayed by external factors like her parents.
Honestly I think it's because he doesn't want her to do any hard work (like we saw earlier in the episode) that…
Yeah, I kinda have that feeling as well, especially as he was pretty terse when explaining why she shouldn't be an instructor. I suppose it does succeed in getting us a bit riled up if that is the case, especially for the first of the two weekly episodes, but I still think I would prefer him just being supportive than trying to control everything behind the scenes.
Ngl, pretty disappointed in the decision by Noh Go Jin to prevent Sina from becoming an instructor. It's a weird choice by the writers considering we get a montage of him both reading her journal which specifies how it is her goal to be an instructor and trying to research everything about cancer. If anything I was expecting the opposite, him to go out of his way to make sure she could be an instructor before she dies. When they initially told her that it was Noh that took her name off I thought for sure it was misunderstanding fuel, brought on by the 2ML and 2FL, but no. Feel like they could have had a situation where he helps her get to an instructor position and maybe they get some distance, only for her to come back to him after she realizes her feelings and he did the selfless thing for her sake. There is already a power dynamic in the employee boss relationship, but blocking her definitely emphasizes it which I don't love. I feel like most of the show is predicated on Noh's internal growth as a person, and this decision kinda reinforces that he isn't there yet. I get that they're trying to show he is vulnerable, but I feel like he would have seemed more vulnerable if they showed him being alone/lonely while she is happily succeeding. The kiss was good, but definitely feel like they could have gotten there so many better ways...
Really enjoying this one, but the peach scene is a little sus lol. I feel like one of the first things Shina would tell him in his state of Amnesia are any food allergies he would have in order to avoid getting an allergic reaction. Feel like he could have easily been like, it looks good, but Shina told me I have a peach allergy, but I suppose that doesn't get Segi off his back as much as causing an allergic reaction to himself. I suppose it also depends on how severe the allergy actually is.
Everyone is doing a great job in acting but Ahn Hyoseop is making me cringe. He did so well in his previous works,…
I'm definitely with you on this one. I think the other three are perfectly cast, but AHP has always played the younger sibling, innocent character and it feels forced to see him as Kang Taemu, who in the Webtoon is literally exuding confidence. I don't think he's done too bad, but I don't think it might not be the perfect character/actor fit. It is a bit difficult to find an actor who fits the aesthetic, is able to play the CEO type character and is still in their mid 20's. When I was reading the webtoon, I imagined either Rowoon or Seo Kang Joon as Kang Taemu.
100% agree! Couldn’t have said it better. I’m also enjoying the trope of overbearing CEO and it’s fun to…
Also I completely agree with the whole, I'm not gonna take no as an answer vibe as a turnoff. If I were the writers I would have him be like: I'll wait for your decision until X time/place, and if by then you aren't about it, then I'll move on, then Hari can have her realization as that time/date moves closer and maybe shes late or realizes it too late or something or her chase sequence at the end of ep 8 relates to that,
Also, in all honestly there are so many times in the show where Taemu is like "im perfect, who wouldn't like me", until secretary Cha gives him the reality, where it is actually kinda refreshing to me that Hari doesn't instantly buy in to his confession, but maybe thats just me haha.
