It is definitely worth it. The plot is organic and there are some good reveals along the way. Chen Zheyuan is excellent but it is very much an ensemble piece.

If you like “The Untamed”, you will like this drama. Different vibe but great in their own way. This one shows tender kiss scenes, too. We just don’t know how it ends yet.

Definitely! The plot works well, the main couple sizzles and the costumes are good. The wigs are a little fake but that is a minor point.

Glad you stuck with it! I’m on episode 33 and watching it slowly. The ending hasn’t been spoiled for me, because I’m not too bothered by spoilers but I do have a sense of where it is heading… There are definitely unrealistic aspects of the drama but the main attraction is how the actors depict PTSD. This drama is a keeper but also a tough watch.

it rather depends why you are watching the show. If you don’t mind a show that explores the nuances of PTSD, then you are in the right place. If plot and romance are more your speed, then perhaps not… Chen Zheyuan’s acting is phenomenal and the chemistry is excellent.

I have been watching "A Tale of Love and Loyalty" with Li Fei and Ming Jiajia. It is a short drama with plot holes you could drive a truck through. However, the chemistry between the two leads is palpable despite the dismal plot and the fairly low production values.

Watch it for the lead actors and leave your brain at the door before you do ...

Just finished “To the Wonder” which is drama about a Han Chinese girl and a Kazakh boy who meet one summer. It feels very real the way people struggle with the fading of nomadic culture and the hardship of living off the grid.

Even people who don’t watch Cdrama will find this worth a watch…

It was a beautifully realistic depiction of two traumatized people, trying to make a long-distance relationship work. The female lead was immature and selfish, though, and had to do some growing up before they could have a future together.

Agree! The OST is really good and the drama is light-hearted fun. So if people are in the mood for a rom-com, this drama will do the trick.

I think you are refering to episode 11. If you like this drama, perhaps you will like "Road Home". The actors are slightly older so the premise is slightly different but there is a similar down to earth atmosphere in that drama and the chemistry is on point.

Feelings are more intense when they are placed in a wide spectrum. The plot and characters in MLC feel very real. The actors, production and dirctor made the outer conflict of the martial world and the inner conflicy of the characters come to life. The ending made sense, as a conclusion to what came before, This is the stand out drama of the sunmer for me, I think.

In "A Date with the Futures" the female lead is rescued by the male lead 10 years before the drama begins its main plot. She is determined to find him. Their meeting is quite well done and there are some fairly realistic reactions on his part when she turns up. In the second couple it is the man who chases the woman.

How about "You are my Hero" or "My Dear Guardian"?
