The length isn't the only problem, each person has agency and needs to be direct on their objectives and interests for the other party to accept or reject. It's not normal to chase multiple people in eight or ten days simultaneously.
Show premise is meeting others for dating? Spend a few hours with each person you're interested in and be considerate of them. Determine if they have a different objective or perspective on dating. Share your red lines that break your interest early on the first meeting.
Make an assessment that day to make progress or terminate the pursuit with that person in the twenty four hours with their honest feedback.
