Can someone explain to me WHY so many people aren't liking this drama? Why is this rated so low? It's so good!
Some viewers have the patience of a fruit fly.
For some, the dialogue is too difficult to follow along and they don't have any reference to the Hagwon (For profit private schools)
Public School 8:00 am-4:00 pm -4:30 pm) Hagwon +10 hours avg
S.K. is somewhat unique in the money spent by parents, time by students in getting the best grades to gain entry into the top three Universities.
Many feel this is the minimum requirement to have a chance of securing a stable job in the future.
"According to government data, parents in Korea spent a total of 26 trillion won on private education last year nationwide, but experts say the market has grown far more than that, citing their market value and numerous other related businesses."
of course i can be wrong :)in fact i'm hoping i am, id hate the see shj suffer. i'm just going based off the preview.…
Previews are notorious for misdirection and making assumptions who the heroes/villains are in the first episode. I generally avoid them for that reason.
Are we watching the same Drama? You didn't realise FL fell for him when she was his tutor? They both liked each…
Emotional pleadings are not valid. Take a break, go for a walk.
You didn't write, direct this drama and remain a spectator from the seats. Your input is immaterial, the product has been completed.
Repeating myself.
Rewatch the argument in the restaurant, Jun Ho's best friend with his mom and pause it if necessary. (Jun Ho's new method incorporates SJ one on one method.)
Nearly every Senior (Director, SJ, Mr. Pyo, WHW) are being swayed by students, recent hire Jun Ho.
(This isn't lazy writing).
Is this foreshadowing?
Lee Si U -> SJ, Choi Hyung Sun [WHW) exit interview*
WHW reacts by offering SJ a generous contract after sabotaging her Free Lecture. WHW knew she was going to lose more students than top student.
Sung Ha Yul -> Yellow notebook to Mr. Pyo
Lastly you're too invested emotionally and not thinking critically about this as an entertainment product that bends reality.
The target audience are not commenting on fan pages of the drama, safely can categorize in the niche target (tiny subset of fanboy/girls) who watch too many Korean dramas. You -> Completed 251 shows, 31 Movies
I really don't understand what SYJ sees romantically in Lee Jun Ho. This episode took the cake for his rudeness,…
Are we watching the same Drama?
You didn't realise FL fell for him when she was his tutor? They both liked each but never crossed the line, it's obvious.
Pro tip: if you break the rules in your workplace and make money for the shareholders/owners it will be forgiven. (If you can't understand that, there's no need to read the next sentence.)
You don't have to understand his vision, his methods either to understand what a force the character is bringing to bear (according to the script).
I don't care if the roles were revered either. Gender/age/hierarchical are your guiderails. It appears this drama is breaking them.

Director revamps marketing plan based upon Jun Ho ( brief meeting) SJ relents after Jun Ho meets with her on becoming an instructor/partnership* targeting the new School. (*Show me the money!! Ref)
Jun Ho's best friend, taught by SJ tells him mom (the methods are evolved from ?) and if he had children he would want them to be taught by Jun Ho. Is Jun Ho targeting a wider audience (larger market) with this new format? He shares with his future GF Jun Ho is (always) successful and won the argument?
Mr. Pyo becomes interested and wants meet with Jun Ho again. (Heated but brief chat) Husband and wife are in awe of Jun Ho. SJ's best friend used the term robot to describe SJ.
SJ interrupts his presentation, stating he's won. Epiphanies* SJ isn't a doormat, wallflower either. SJ tells Vice Director/Director material from the past decade isn't treasured any longer.
Still don't get it?

Are you going with Jun Ho left his corporate career for a crush on his first love?
After twelve episodes, you may need to reexamine your definition of successful.
I love how silly and cute the 1st episode was, and I was prepared to love it BUT why can't they be funny without…
Bollocks, enjoy your Apple products while children are being force to mine cobalt. (Hypocrite) Perhaps Uighurs products from China?
Accountability is something the woke Liberal doesn't understand, exhibiting cognitive dissonance.
Being morbidly obese isn't healthy or sustainable. osteoarthritis, heart disease and blood lipid abnormalities, stroke, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea (when you periodically stop breathing during sleep), reproductive problems, gallstones, certain cancers, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, metabolic syndrome.

"Africa and Asia are the two continents with the highest counts, and this distribution is tightly connected to the prevalence of diseases like HIV/AIDS and socio-political unrest in these regions, which contribute to the increasing number of children losing their parents."
thats true actually. i guess the ml's reasons just felt less justifiable to me, as he was mistreating women based…
They both have traumatic pasts because of their parents.
FL's father doesn't respect women as equals.
ML's mother treated her husband poorly (never comforted him) and within two years remarried a wealthy man. His birth father (dad) was wealthy, she was poor and lost his wealth when his business failed so the son thinks she may have never loved his father. He may think his mother only married men for their wealth.
His first love solidified the distrust with women by throwing him under the bus, her Agency labeled him as a stalker.
FL became her father by treating males with contempt, the ML broke through that.
ML took pills to kiss female actors because he couldn't stomach them, have relationships.
FL was the opposite of every female he met and broke down his walls.
Likely both, the cultural differences in SK and your own. Competition for grades, entrance to the top three Universities…
"Humans possess logic, but we are not inherently logical creatures. In addition to being logical, we are also highly emotional creatures; we tend to follow our evolved emotions and rationalizations. Our thoughts tend to follow a pathway of least resistance, which is not always the optimal pathway. It's easy to see most of us ignore the behaviour of the FL to criticize the School Teacher, WW.
We are getting a glimpse of another world we know very little about and very few of us will dig into why is it different.
The dialogue between the leads is long, they're substantive and immature viewers can't decipher what's happening.
Hagwons and their role in South Korea eludes most viewers. This subject matter isn't relatable to most viewers.
The script, acting are solid.
Mature viewers recognize the politics, interpersonal relationships, competitive marketplace being depicted in this drama.

Your feelings about the writer or director are irrelevant. This is not a documentary.

Are you going with Jun Ho left his corporate career for a crush on his first love?
After twelve episodes, you may need to reexamine your definition of successful.
A male sponsoring children isn't stereotyping Africa.
A morbidly obese woman stealing a lollipop isn't an attack on obesity.
The fault remains in those that choose to be offended by a scene in a drama.
Mocking you is for your benefit.
Lack of impulse control, believing virtue signaling is a good idea.
Let it go Karen, they are innocuous and only garnered attention by your whining.
Several characters did show a character redemption arc, ex-fiancé didn't.
Loan Shark family: Uncle, sister, mother did support the decision of the FL ultimately.
Who didn't enjoy Uncle staging FL accident, screwing over the ex-fiancé of 200k?
Mockery is the best antidote for your hypocrisy, virtue signaling.
Black orphans in Africa, morbidly obese people don't need you to be offended on their behalf on a fan page for this drama.
Perhaps Uighurs products from China?

Both treated the opposite sex with disdain and that's what we see unfold as their beliefs implode.
She realises she made a mistake by lumping him with bad males.
He discovers she's unlike the other women he met who were similar to his mother (After wealth).
The unmasking of each other, their relationship with their parents.
Generalisations exhibit flawed thinking.
Too many have their blinders on for the FL/ML as being perfect, altruistic when they are not.
Mr. Pyo after twenty years discovered his workplace peers, supervisors, admin didn't side with him, did humiliate him.
Everyone is replaceable, the FL got a hint of that when they made moves against and reduced her classes.
FL's father doesn't respect women as equals.
ML's mother treated her husband poorly (never comforted him) and within two years remarried a wealthy man. Go back to their first meetings if necessary.
Too many people are biased and have already made up their minds.
Examine the facts, this is well written and is unfolding nicely.
If you think critically about the events, listen to the dialogue it's written and acted well.
The FL admits her errors, School teacher points out his mistakes, WW does a nice recap of the situation.
You can see fans of the FL choosing sides and using rationale to defend her.
Her confession with her boyfriend doesn't matter, they can't find fault in the FL actions.
Thinking critically requires you to examine all of the actions and dialogue without a conclusion beforehand.
