It already maxed out at 40 ep. I was satisfied with the ending since it was hopeful, considering so many dramas with very lame, unsatisfying endings.

Lol… did you watch In Between? It may be a bit frustrating to watch but I now love the band Accusefive.

Decided to watch this while waiting for Flourished Peony and the Blossoming Love.

Although it’s 8 years old, a little melodramatic, and some of themes are a bit dated, it was still enjoyable to watch.

It’s kinda like beta fish - sure they’d survive in a cup but they need a 5 gallon (19 L) tank at least to thrive. Peonies’ roots need a lot of space to spread. They can survive in a pot ( susceptible to the elements) but flourish in the ground, undisturbed.

Someone explained in this discussion the following:
1. Jiang - same surname as the ml
2. Xiao (little) + Hua (flower) = term of endearment.

All together, it can mean that she belongs I him. Maybe a bit more closer in relationship. Or at least that’s how I interpret it.

So why does the king want to kill everyone at the competition? Why is he plotting with Shen yu (the villian) and sent ppl to kill FY (ml)?

Peonies - the care for peonies in this drama is definitely not to be followed. As a peony lover, I would be ecstatic if we can have them flower so shortly after transplant. The truth is, peonies need cold winters to develop their roots and grow new stems with buds each year. It can take 3-5 years before getting a plant full of blooms and they only bloom once a year. Of course, with the fantasy world of drama land, this would indeed not work. But just a good to know in case anyone wanted to go out a purchase one. Best to enjoy the stems and do more research on how to care for them before purchasing a live plant.

But at least ep 18 is a tad more interesting as we are focusing on other mysteries and not so much their romance

Just watched it last night. Not bad. Seems they had to rush the ending (again, another drama).

I’d say this actress needs development. She’s plays the obsessive parts to obsessively… missing the balance with other emotions.
