Glad to see you here. This drama has me sucked in like Blossom.

I read somewhere that he did an excellent job in the Untamed. That one one of the first c-dramas I watched but I don’t think I can rewatch it. Way too long and the villian reveal was not great - too stereotypical for my taste.

Ep 26 - is so packed and ends with more mysteries….

We have the festive lantern festival displaying all the beautiful crafts - candy making, noodle pulling, cakes, puppetry, dragons, drums, lanterns. What a beautiful vibrant scenery with the hope of love in the air.

Also, the music and sound e effects are so perfectly timed. At 35 min, moment she mentioned how fleeting the beauty and splendor of the world fades, the fireworks in the sky dies down.

That chess match gives us a hint of powerful figures possibly involved in her parents murder. Every word they say and the moves of their chess pieces have meaning behind them. They both took part in the confession of Xu Biao. These two are scary.

Then we have the mystery at the end - how can someone who loves 💰so much turn her down? Definitely, someone very powerful in the shadows….

I’m so hooked on this excellent storytelling.

Ep 24 - 25 this new villian is super creepy and scary. I am very worried for her.

On a side note, her white fur collar is so beautiful. The costuming in this series has been a pleasure to see.

My guess is she had to pretend she didn’t love him (since it was forbidden) so that he would not evaporate forever. 10k years is still not forever.

Yes - it gets better as he grows.

I was annoyed at first but seeing his background, I view it as his inexperience and his upbringing. Youngest in a wealthy family of three boys where the older borthers take care of everything and he doesn’t have a care in the world. He has romanticized ideas of the world, of being a hero, and protecting a girl for all the novels he read. He has no real life skills. But I can see that he’s slowly learning and growing after going through more cases with her.

He’s brought up sheltered with a silver spoon but his heart is not malicious. I found that as I watch the story unfold without any expectations of pairing anyone up, the story and characters get better and better - like how wine ages. The acting by everyone and the storytelling is very good. He’s grown from annoying man child to adorable man child. 😂

I am thinking that I’ll need a light hearted comedy after this drama ends. This has been very emotional.

If this were a comedy, your ending would be perfect and plausible. The odds are not high here. 😢

Well put! At this point, I am kinda at the edge of my seat. No idea how it’s going down but based on the hints so far, maybe TM will do something to save Pearl again at a heavy cost.

Maybe, but it’s kinda interesting that he’s supposed to be indifferent but when it comes to Chaos Pearl, he is anything but indifferent.

Ep 32 - after the convo between TM and his boss (HT) when she’s trying to speak on Pearl’s behalf, I think I understand why she may have been so heartless to ZM in that one flashback

And so so sad…
How his heart have hurt when she told him how she wants to be with ZM to look after him “forever. And TM’s response “forever?” I felt the hard stab he must’ve felt. Honestly, I think he’s slowly developing affection for her.
