All throughout, we can see that she is not a person who is short sighted, selfish nor greedy. At this point, who she loves is not her driving force. Her willingness to muster the courage to submit to Qin Lin is because of her love for the starving ppl not her own personal relationships. Considering how many times she recoiled from QL, this act reveals the extent of her selflessness.

Also, why would she scold HMZ? He did everything in his power to no avail. He also did not disclose what QIn Li requested him to convey to LS because he does not want her to be burdened.

All our heroes are trying their best. They are unaware of all QL’s dealings although LS has some suspicions

But, Qin hates WuNiang. There’s no way Li would ever hire her if Qin owns Mingke. unless he acquired Mingke when he became an adult because he was only a teen back then.
