This latest case from ep 20-22 may be my favorite so far. Not necessarily for how it was solved but more for the exposure of humanity. Not sure I’m clear but I just love how this drama just draws out so much of the hearts’ desires in different characters.
Also, in the last few episodes, I’ve noticed how the beautiful music is used to enhance the drama! The costuming is also beautiful. All this and cinematography carry me off o a far away historical time and place. I Feel spoiled with this drama as well as the recently aired Blossom.
Bittersweet ending to a short lived romance but hopeful for new adventures for my FL.
Ep 19m- beginning where they discuss the song case and propose an idea - hilarious! Ep 19 was so good. Ok - ML is changing from annoying to adorable for me.
Ep 17-18 So much is spoken through gazes and subtle gestures. And the scenery along the river was depicted so beautifully. I’m loving this drama more and more.
I think, if it was a secondary female character who is breaking up the main couple just because she couldn't handle…
I’m not sure I’d draw the conclusion that we would react differently b/c of gender. It’s all about how the story is told. Most drams present the villainess as a very ugly despicable character - temptress, jealous wicked manipulator , etc. However, if her character was presented differently, where we witness her tragedy, humanity, etc, we may not hate her with that level of intensity. I remember watching the movie “the English Patient” where I couldn’t believe I was sympathizing for a woman who was committing adultery. The story telling was beautiful. The point is that how the audience responds to the characters is dependent on the skills of the story tellers - scriptwriters, directors, actors, cinematographers, etc. This drama has been very good at engaging the audience emotionally!
Kangaroo Logics Lmao..So because he don't have something, he have to go steal it or force it to be with him wether…
Yes. Absolutely. I appreciate how the production team didn’t use characters as purely tools to serve the main couple. (Except, maybe the duke who married ZYQ’s mom). They all have more to them.
Ep 31. I glossed over so much of it because I was tired. Nevertheless, I felt like everyone (except Pearl) is…
TM and NXY have the burden of knowing the future and past, experiencing hardships like everyone else, struggling to make sense of all these emotions/feelings he’s experiencing and complying to his orders and responsibilities. I just appreciate complex non one dimensional villains.
Ep 31. I glossed over so much of it because I was tired. Nevertheless, I felt like everyone (except Pearl) is carrying heavy burdens and she’s the one refreshing spirit that lightens up the mood.
A lot of folks are hating TM but I feel sad for him. This is the power of a good well acted story.

We see the sad reality of their fragile love

Forgot when he warms up but he does. Starts out very subtle.
