Ep 16 - ahhhh…..can I switch places with her? I’d be so happy with a sensible respectful handsome billionaire. He doesn’t even have to buy me an island. 😁
I am so impressed with this production. All the actors, main and supporting, act their rolls so well. Looks like some are veterans who’ve done lots films. Real stand up comedians also appear.
I’m not sure where this story is headed atm. I don’t believe in mainland China that stand up really exists.…
Yes, it’s tough industry. All the issues brought up are very realistic with no clear cut right/wrong resolution.
Also as much as I admire the billionaire for being so levelheaded and thorough when he makes decisions, he’s also a bit scary precisely because he is able to make business decisions without any emotional influence.
Compare him to the bar owner who makes decisions all on his passions even the dollars and cents make no sense.
Just that they had two Zhang Yan and two Ma Chao. I think it’s because they system doesn’t know which actor is which since it has different actors with the same name.
The fact that the "bad" ex-boyfriend is getting the chance to change and be better isn't something you often see…
It’s nice to hear from someone who’s had experience living in Shanghai. I’ve only visited and was astounded by its shear vastness of metropolitanism (if that’s a word).
Ep 10 - plagiarism From the end of ep 9, there is an awkwardness because our FL is just not ready to start a new relationship. The ML helps her out by brushing aside so she is relieved to continue bing friends with him. The rest of the ep focuses on her work being plagiarized by the customer who was at the bar from ep 9. With the help of the team an mainly the ML, she exonerates herself. We see her recognizing ML’s fondness of her as well.
Everything flows so well and feels very natural, even the awkwardness, reservations, uncertainty of her feelings towards the ML. Yet at the same time, it was interesting and not always predictable how the story unfolds.
Any other recommendations? I watched Fake Til You Make It, Remembrance of Things Past, Tale of the Rose, Will…
Here are some of my top modern dramas
Nothing but you - about badminton to tennis player To the wonder - about adapting to changing culture. Beautiful cinematography Pegasus - car racing The hope - overcoming challenges in education Shards of her - about a woman who suffered trauma. Have tissues ready
More idol drama like with romance: The Forbidden flower - a dying girl’s last wish in life Rising with the wind - business startup
I am liking this drama. Also liked Fake it till you make it. But I dropped In between after watching 4-5 episodes.…
Lol… in between can be challenging because we just want the fl to grow up already! And that gold digging bf! But I enjoyed watching it to the end. For the most part, there’s not clear “good” or bad guy, just imperfect people trying to figure out what’s important to them.
I want to start this but the fact the fl has a boyfriend in the beginning of the drama is just kne of the reasons…
Ok - so this is a story of character growth. It starts out with her being a doormat but that’s not her true spirit. The story will continue to unfold and we learn how she became this way. And yes, as a doormat, others will see you as an easy target to take advantage of. So she will have to overcome this. Along the way of growth, she will face challenges, develop true friendships. She will have victories and failures. there will be characters we grow to love and to hate but it’s all part of a wonderfully told story. If you don’t enjoy a person who may take some time to grow, this may frustrate you. It’s not Love Me Kill Me. More like In Between but I like this better so far. Theres some heart warming sweet scenes but not heart fluttering ( well maybe one so far)

No, not as of ep 9. I’ve been enjoying this drama a lot because it feels realistic. Everything feels natural and not forced. characters are developing. Good story telling and good plot and good acting.
