Ep 17:
My heart breaks for Han Su Su. Many here may judge her negatively because of her relationship with ZB but if we look at it from her perspective, she rejected him when she found out he was married and did not date him until he was divorced. He appeared to love her and she loved him too and believed his portrayal of his ex-wife. When she finally see the facts, she moved on and stayed true to herself.

I love her line:
He can go to hell but the material gifts are innocent.

Haha…but when he used these objects to debase her, she had no problem letting them go. I have newfound respect for this girl.

He was one of the guys most Fl met after Peng ghosted her. He was a musician and and thought she was into him. His view of “love” was casual fling.

Yup! Totally agree. This has been such an enjoyable watch. By only watching an ep a day, I get to process what each character is going through/thinking/etc.

You are probably right. Sad but I have witnessed and heard of numerous times where the partner just continue to be manipulated by there spouse . There’s always an underlying reason stemming from their past of course.

From GAO’s conversation with HS in Ep 11 - he didn’t take her breakup with him seriously based on their past experience. He’s regretting it. they got together in high school when she was 16. So we see her still quite immature with relationships. Now, it makes sense to me why she fell for YP. He’s quite the manipulator.

It’s not as simple as you think. This is not just a typical plot based romantic drama with fluff and beautiful faces. This is a great study/exploration on human need for companionship, human shortfalls, the complexities of relationships. In a way, every character has their own selfishness ‘ shortfall that causes failures in their relationships. The actors are fantastic. The way it’s directed is interesting IMO. It interjects skits that summarizes the theme of each episode. Each episode you learn a little more about each character and boy…..it changes how you view them.

So it may / may not be some ppl’s cup of tea. If you Fake It Til You Make it, you may enjoy this.

Ep 11
Peng is truly a selfish amoral predator. Wow…. Ok, Bin’s also in the same category but maybe we’ll see mor of his dark character. So far guys’ are not depicted well and ladies are depicted as preys.

So glad Han Su finally broke up with QYP. Definitively not a good relationship. SHe can finally move on to better places.
