I've been putting this off because I've heard it has a sad ending, those of you who have finished watching this…
It’s sad. I was in shock. But did watch it to the end. It’s whether you like a happy ending or to reflect on the whole thememessage. It did start to unravel towards the end but I still put it as one of my top dramas. I also liked the film ‘the gladiator’ even though it was not a happy ending.
Finally finished the last ep (24) of Later, I Laughed. At peace and satisfied with the closure to the whole drama. This will probably be on my rewatch list (LBFAD) and fond memories list (AJTL, WOH). Most characters were not one dimensional, good story telling, actions made sense, We feel for everyone’s character. I was not a fan of her mom for the stress she put her daughter through. However, at the end I felt that she was human and understood her whys. She also represents the societal mainstream views and also the final challenge for our fl to overcome. Beyond that were all the more thoughtful reflections on life, on relationships with one another, on seeking meaning in life, and on character.
Well written multidimensional characters, relatable realistic but interesting non formulaic plot and situations. And comedy with drama.
Ít is so nice to see her father coming around an wanting to support her career choices . Such a difference from her mom. Where she wants to “fix’ her daughter to do what she thinks is the “best and right” thing to the point of embarrassing XY in from of her awful manager Hu (yuck), he is willing to learn about what’s important to her and to help her however she needs and apologized for what he did to her in middle school.
I liked that he was supportive of her choice, at least he said so. Plus the data driven decisions he makes, good looks and willingness to spend $ on her don’t hurt. He truly seemed fond of her. But then….
No wonder I found this drama engaging. I am just struggling with the one dimensional villains.
Makes no sense.., I’m enjoying this drama but
There’s quite a few “makes no sense” situations.
