Ep 17: My heart breaks for Han Su Su. Many here may judge her negatively because of her relationship with ZB but if we look at it from her perspective, she rejected him when she found out he was married and did not date him until he was divorced. He appeared to love her and she loved him too and believed his portrayal of his ex-wife. When she finally see the facts, she moved on and stayed true to herself.
I love her line: He can go to hell but the material gifts are innocent.
Haha…but when he used these objects to debase her, she had no problem letting them go. I have newfound respect for this girl.
For me, this highlighting 3 different kinds of girls, each with their own take on love. It’s not your typical…
Yup! Totally agree. This has been such an enjoyable watch. By only watching an ep a day, I get to process what each character is going through/thinking/etc.
To discover your man, who “you trust more than yourself” cheated on you! He’s is very scary because he’s…
You are probably right. Sad but I have witnessed and heard of numerous times where the partner just continue to be manipulated by there spouse . There’s always an underlying reason stemming from their past of course.
I stopped at episode 11, can you spoiler me on what happens with ZB's wife
Is that w/ English subs? Or machine translate? I tried that with “fake it till you make it” and decided to wait a few months until decent translations finally came out. It was well worth the wait.
Ep 11 - ah… I can’t wait to see what Bin’s wife will do. What do you think? Will she be a strong woman?…
To discover your man, who “you trust more than yourself” cheated on you! He’s is very scary because he’s SOOO good at twisting facts to get his ladies to comply. She seems like a level headed person so i hope she ditches him.
From GAO’s conversation with HS in Ep 11 - he didn’t take her breakup with him seriously based on their past experience. He’s regretting it. they got together in high school when she was 16. So we see her still quite immature with relationships. Now, it makes sense to me why she fell for YP. He’s quite the manipulator.
Basically its about 6 people Han su and yi peng are couple, yi peng cheats on her with zhi nan and they break…
It’s not as simple as you think. This is not just a typical plot based romantic drama with fluff and beautiful faces. This is a great study/exploration on human need for companionship, human shortfalls, the complexities of relationships. In a way, every character has their own selfishness ‘ shortfall that causes failures in their relationships. The actors are fantastic. The way it’s directed is interesting IMO. It interjects skits that summarizes the theme of each episode. Each episode you learn a little more about each character and boy…..it changes how you view them.
So it may / may not be some ppl’s cup of tea. If you Fake It Til You Make it, you may enjoy this.
Ep 11 Peng is truly a selfish amoral predator. Wow…. Ok, Bin’s also in the same category but maybe we’ll see mor of his dark character. So far guys’ are not depicted well and ladies are depicted as preys.
This is such an enjoyable watch thus far (ep 5). Make me so thankful of my man! Haha. I love the little skit at the end that summarizes the whole ep. QYP and ZB are scary.
Han Su and Qu Yi Peng are such a bad batch. Their values clearly are not aligned. This relationship will always…
They’re just waiting around… neither one wanting to be the “bad’ guy. He’s clearly waiting for a nicer boat to jump on. She’s clear on her career goals but a mess with personal relationship goals.

Can’t wait to see Edward Chen appear.
