I started this yesterday. I am currently on Episode 29. Can someone suggest a drama to watch after this. I am…
Wait a second, you finished 29 eps in one day? I guess you’re enjoying it😁. This one is a true gem .
Word of Honor Is one of the first ones i enjoyed. There’s a lot of reading between the lines and such in that one (I watched a lot of YouTube commentaries on WoH) . it was crazy popular. In the US, it’s avail on Netflix. Another one which is more xian xia/fantasy is Love between Devil and Fairy. You just need to bare with the FL lead’s voice at first.
If you are trying to decide whether to watch it, then it depends on what you're looking for. most viewers including me agree that it’s an excellent series - acting, directing, character develeopment, etc. you can tell the whole crew is invested in it (there’s a bts clip where our ML actor was filming even with an injured leg.) and we all grew to love the characters to the end. So…. That’s why the ending is so emotional for us and we need time to process. Personally, I still think it’s a great series with an ending that feels consistent with the story. I’m kinda glad the scriptwriters had the courage to stay the course (for the most part) to the story and not cave in to the pressure of what would have been a popular ending.
A Journey to Death lol just kidding (long post)I have finished the drama but wanted to take some time to calm…
Very well put! It’s been so hard to get into Something else with this leaving such a huge impression. I guess, I can rest and heal until the next Gong Jun series comes out.
Man oh man…. Finished this two hours ago and still processing. So much … so good… wow… it’s been such an amazing journey and TBH I am glad the ending is not a fairy tale ending… it just wouldn’t feel right to just neatly package every couple together.., I am ok with the ending because it’s consistent with all the leading character’s character and loyalty and love for the people.
So does any character get an actual happy ending ?
If what you are referring to as a happy ending is a couple being together, then there is one couple ( maybe they will be rormantic in the future but there’s so much that’s happened so it would be unrealistic to cover that). However, I would say it’s bittersweet. Not meant to follow the happily ever after fairy tail ending. But there’s now peace and unity in the countries, which is a happy ending. Each country ends up being lead by people who put the country first vs their own selfish ambitions.
I’m on eps.14 and I’m wondering if I should keep going or save myself the time and energy since I’ve seen…
You’re gonna get mixed responses but for what it’s worth I don’t regret finishing it to the end (but you’ll need a box of tissues). I enjoyed the whole journey. They filmmakers had to finish it within 40 episodes. I don’t think it was an easy task given what they had to cover.
