I think it’s about what you are looking for. Lots of business in this series. I enjoyed this series and was…
Yes - romance is not as engaging. But I find it fitting because given her situation, the last thing she she’s focused on is romance, especially with her boss. Even though he’s not directly her boss, her company surviving is in part due to his support. When the flirty and romantic scenes do appear, they’re great.
Barely finished 6 episodes. Though I'm here for the romance but I really love business dramas. Still 40 episodes…
He’s a business person - keeps a clear line between business and personal matters.even his mom can’t stand him but he, like everyone else, is shaped by their past.

@mystique Your why question needs more in-depth explanation and is a bigger part of the plot. If you want a short and inadequate one, then it’s because it’s his job and he works for an investment company. However, DarkQueen took the time and did an excellent job summarizing every two episodes (that was the daily release). Go to her review and in the comment button, she has it all listed out. Unfortunately, mydramalist does not allow me to post links since I just joined. Btw- I joined because I enjoyed this show so much ☺️
Can someone tell me what the ML did that made the FL broke up with him?
Are you sure you want to know? She felt he betrayed her trust. He thought he was doing what was best for her from an investment point of view by merging TY with Aneda, but stalled to tell her about it (afraid of her reaction). While he was trying to figure how to tell her, she found out.
on episode 14 but the story is way too draggy. 40 episodes seems like a long way to go! the leads look cute but…
I think it’s about what you are looking for. Lots of business in this series. I enjoyed this series and was on the edge of my seat every two episodes because it was more than just romance between the two main leads. It felt real and I got to feel and appreciate each of the characters, their imperfections, their character journeys and growth, and business decisions. One of the reviewers (dark Queen some thing) would recap each day and explain some of the business details. It helped a lot.

@hannaliss - it parallels their encounter before where she was angry at him (for good reason). However, I think that for both of them Teng Yue is important. For her, it’s important because it’s her baby. For him, it’s important because it’s important to her and he realizes that companies are not merely chips to move around for $$. She’s already chosen him because she never signed the papers to receive the company shares that he gifted her. I feel the last scene is symbolic to show that she’s willing to fully accept him whereas before, she never really.
If you want spoilers, there’s plenty. Take a look at MsDarkQueen’s review. In her comments sections, she has links where she summarizes every episode. Good or bad depends on expectations, but most feel it’s a HE. No open endings. If you are looking for a drama that is full of sugar and fluff, this is not it. This one has more substance along with scenes that make your heart flutter, anger, weep, and hope. I’ve finished it on Sunday, Nov 19th, and am still thinking about it.
How is no one talking how this is the most toxic male lead probably ever in cdrama land?! Controlling, emotionally…
If you scroll down more, there’s definitely discussions echoing your thoughts. This show has imperfect, broken, not great people and how they develop, grow, and learn. I would even consider the SML imperfect because he is too “good”. Haha. The last episodes may or may not help you but it manages to tie things together. Unlike many typical romantic series, it tries to be more realistic which is why most viewers appreciate it.
I love the ending ! as its different from convention/typical drama ... no loose ends
There was earlier discussions where they had to cut the drama down to 40 ep. Although it would have been nice to get more, I felt it was done nicely given their restrictions. It stayed consistent to the overall story.
