It was filmed a few years ago and finally aired but with no promotions it appears. Give yourselfa few eps and it picks up and gets Better and better. I suppose I should mention that it is cute and happy, not angsty.

After reading all y’all comments about the 2nd half improving, I decided to resume this drama and you’re right! It did get better! I’d say, after the death of you know who, things improved so much. Only at ep 30 so far but it’s been enjoyable.

Try "fake it till you make it". Make sure you get good translations though.

For me, FFL started watchable but I got bored and dropped midway. This drama started out meh but got interesting .

The two have different vibes.
Ffl more wuxia palace politics, war and romance. Fuwd more Xian xia, travel adventures while developing cultivation and search for rare items, and romance. I find Fuwd more fun and light where FFL more heavy.

It started out a bit cringy w/ the dated styling and female char’s personality but somehow it grew on me and now at ep 10 I’m actually invested. And fl is not annoying anymore.
