Quite a lot of dialect in this drama. I heard a lot of it was filmed in Sichuan. But, I have never heard Cantonese…
If you mean the ML’s brother in law, His dialect does not sound like Cantonese. It’s something else. If you mean the guy from the nightclub who wasn’t going to marry her and she jumped off the building for, then yes, most likely so.

Exactly. He is very talented and can play complex characters that draws the audiences empathy. Some audiences only want clear cut good/bad, cp has to only exclusively be paired with each other, and no one can outshine main leads.
When yzh recalled the encounter with LW, ep12, 32:40 min in, only two ppl were there (LD was not in the scene!). Recall that i mn the original encounter the 3 of them were present. So perhaps, LD does not exist and is only in YXH’s mind.
