I’m just enjoying all the adorable, cute, sweet, romantic scenes - ep 15 (carriage), ep 17 (cliff), ep 19 (injured hands). They make me grin like a fool. Such a great watch after a long day.

Good points. This is a drama where you enjoy the situations / interactions/ jokes / reactions. Not so much plot driven. So for ppl who prefer action /suspense/ romance this may be too slow

This is clearly not your type of drama and kudos that you’re trying to like it. It’s great that there’s plenty of dramas for different tastes. I’ve had to drop a few after giving them a go. There’s some pretty enjoyable dramas airing now so not a shortage.

Oh wow, thanks to some of yall's comments, I went to rewatch episode 1 and realised Lin Yan isn't their ancestor.
They used "我们以为的祖先”, meaning "the person we mistook for our ancestor".

Somewhere in the discussion, someone rewatched and said that the family mistakenly thought he was their ancestor. Someone else theorized that the person he was supposed to be engaged to was the girl she rescued. dunno, but I, sure it will be cleared up.

In terms of your comment regarding goals - that’s what great about this drama - we are in the dark just as they are.
