A hug would have been nice. Or maybe a kiss. Or hells bells, how about a friendly slap on the back! Something.…
Goes to show how great the actors were. We fell in love with him and want to see MORE happiness for him. The ending is happy but we just don’t get to witness more of it. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an epilogue

Hahaha… This was a very welll done drama (in my book). I really felt for our ml. Love him to pieces and heartbroken with him. And her too. But more for him since he suffered so much. But he also had so much joy thanks to the family.
leaving aside the last episode, when do the main couple get together?is there any breakup/misunderstanding?if…
It’s not formulaic like that. It’s a slow burn. Their love for each other is evident early on and only grows deeper however there is a misunderstanding from the get go ( the same misunderstanding that ppl were agonizing over in this discussion group). It gets cleared up at the beginning of 31. Ep 31 is just packed full of happiness and joy for our CP. 32 may cause you to grab some tissues but will end on a high note with beautiful happy smiles because their love surpasses time and space.
The ending just stabbed my heart and cut it into million pieces T-T
I see it as their love was so strong that neither one wanted to forget it. He rebuilt the restaurant to remember her and just in case she returned. It is bittersweet. But I absolutely love how It ended with both of them remembering their experiences and with beautiful joyful smiles on their faces.
I think they were trying to be accurate to the times which may not align with modernTastes. You can tell the costuming department really put a lot of effort in the details. Even the age spots and wrinkles and withered hands in ep 32.
I don't think the whole plot or story of FL's mother and father was necessary. I am skipping their parts in every…
I actually appreciate the focus on the side characters. This drama feels more “wholesome” for lack of a better word. I like how it’s not just about the main couple but we see interactions of the side characters. They’re not there just as tools to push the main couple together or apart. They have their own stories. Yes, the Shen males are a bit incompetent but watching the couples go about their conflicts, I’m hoping to see it grow and develop a little deeper than just surface level.
Of course the other impatient side of me wants resolution for the main couple but the story tellers are forcing me to go at their pace and not mine. Hahaha
Perhaps Guardians of the Dafeng or A Dream Within a Dream? They are transmigration dramas aired this year with…
Sorry it raised your blood pressure like that. I generally drop dramas that aren’t my vibe. Years ago, I sat through a film that I didn’t enjoy, thinking maybe it’ll get better…. I ended up angry for wasting my time watching it. So nowadays, I’ll check out a drama and drop it when it’s no longer enjoyable.
I personally enjoyed it, even the agonizing romance.
Their love was so strong it outlasted space and time.
This was a very well done production (although not perfect),
As for me, HE. I’m satisfied. Chemistry was 🚀
Their acting is so good.
