Let’s just say that I was watching both and decided to put PG on hold to focus on this one. but it really depends on what you like. Do you like creative, unique, unconventional script, comedy, thought provoking dialogue, camaraderie, great acting, creative background music, and directing? If you say yes to most, then check it out. But Please remember to not force it into the cookie cutter swoony romance drama.
Again, I feel like I’m in a giant chat room fielding 30 notifications from mostly this comment section lol.…
😂😂😂😂 sorry, your comment just made me laugh. I was pretty relieved that he didnt condemn him to the fate as his uncle. And even asked whether Nh loved SYM. Seems like hell has froze over.
She is definitely relieved, there’s no doubt. However, he also lied and kept her in the dark the whole time…
🧐 she has been NOT invested as a FL in this drama, always viewing the characters as fictional paper characters vs human beings. This was pointed out a few times (by her sister and by NH). Also, we know from ep 1 that she’s a slacker. The fact that she cares about him shows that she has unconsciously begun to see him beyond the fictional character. Her heart is there. Just that her brain is still left back at home in the modern world. It rushes in and shuts down the idea of a future with him.
Ep 29Why... Why is she still mad? I was hoping when she found out he was fine and got out of prison that she would…
She is definitely relieved, there’s no doubt. However, he also lied and kept her in the dark the whole time too and given their history of mistrust, is it surprising? Especially with the tragic iconic scenes looming over her head.
Emperor's redemption arc was the weakest for me so far. It just felt so... incomplete. He was so abusive before…
I didn’t expect a redemptive arc at all. Personally, I felt his behavior was very consistent and fitting to his character all along. They never had a warm and fuzzy relationship. It would be weird to suddenly start because of this revelation
Eps 29-30 I love that the plot continues to not lose its quality. All the characters are behaving in character regardless of how we feel about them. Still full of action, thrills, drama, comedy, insightful dialogue. These two eps gives us much needed relief and joy, fuel for who knows what will transpire next.
I’d like to add that I thought minister Song was brilliant how he handled the public’s demand to witness the court proceeding of the battle case. ‘Hear no evil, see no evil’. 🤣
huh i skipped some scenes but HOW COME THE EMPEROR IS SUDDENLY A GOOD GUY
His demeanor changed a bit not just because of the truth reveal but prolly also because of the talk with 18th prince and seeing nh’s desire to w/draw. But noticed now he hadn’t really deviated from his character. He did not apologize for his hostility towards nh. He denied nh’s request to step down and dismissed him the way he ways does. Glad this character stayed consistent.
i do not think it is bc the antis but more of what the people like to see and live with, for us it is just the…
Yup. It really reminds me of jol when it first started. But it stands on its own - no other like it. I have a feeling there will be copycats after the success of this drama.
