Hi! It's great that you loved TTEOTM as much as we do. šŸ˜ Just saw your Q about Sang Jiu. She annihilated evil…
Hi, thanks for explaining; I just don't understand why Sangjiu and Ye Xiwu would get punished, while the Devil could just destroy the world, and have all the God's sacrificing themselves to stop him, while he could be punished by Heaven too.
On Love Is Sweet Mar 30, 2025
Such a nice comedy to watch after Till The End of the Moon. ML looks quite handsome. Funny how FL is calling him the Devil. Really enjoyed watching this, despite some plot holes, but after the climax, they seem to have prolonged the ending - it wasn't necessary to write Du Lei into this way, especially since he was looking for a new life. The CP are so cute together, too bad they spent so much time fighting and misunderstanding each other. Glad she's not resigning to become a housewife, a woman can have it all.

It's really strange how the Crown Prince from GE can appear in MH as he wishes, and that the FL was talking to an external person about her work. In investment banking, there are actually security gates only employees can cross, and there are very strict confidentiality rules. Don’t understand why some people have to use dirty tricks because they’re not good enough. Don’t like how submissive and annoying the FL’s friend is. OST is disappointing. Despite this, I still really enjoyed watching this. It was funny.

PS. I think Bai Lu's make up made her look like Li Yi Tong.
On Till the End of the Moon Mar 28, 2025
Already impressed with the OST before starting. The story is moving from the beginning. The ML is great in playing the villain; haven't seen anything from him since his role as Runyu. The way he fell in love with the FL, and the entire journey is very well acted! Spoiler alert, proceed at your own discretion.

It's quite something to see how one becomes the Devil, and the more amazing thing is the evil in human beings, who pushed him into evil, and even more amazing, how love can change the course of history. It was very sweet how he talked to the animals, and how he became more powerful, and so powerful to the extent that it was dangerous. It is even more admiring when one remains good in the face of evil.

Really disliked the many scenes of the evil goddess coming between them, who was more evil than the devil. I was glad the God of War was reasonable in punishing her and not be constrained by his feelings towards the former God of War. Glad that Sangjiu could witness that at least, but too bad there were misunderstandings between them. Just don't understand why Sangjiu was getting the lightening punishment and not the Devil Lord?

The FL's sister is so cheap, I really can’t stand these kind of women, but at the end she learnt something important, which was good. The FL's brother is very nice, especially when he paid respect to his gf's old beloved's grave - showing respect but also acknowledging their love.

The ML is actually a good ruler, and has great subordinates, too bad there are so many misunderstandings between the couple that led to so much sadness. Their love stories through different characters were quite poignant, and moving. What he said regarding when everything vanishes, what will remain of their love? - made me think. It was sad how he was prejudiced by so many people, and so few saw all the good that he did. It made me realise that the fight against evil begins in one's heart, and we have the choice despite our circumstances to do good.

The CGI was quite good, especially how they showed the spiritual powers (though the images could have been better inspired). The devil palace was quite scary but what’s with the gloves? And the ending was very unclear and abrupt: did he became a God, or what happened?
On Moonlight Mystique Mar 23, 2025
Initially watching this because of Bai Lu, and didn’t thought the ML is very handsome but am very impressed with his voice, the way he speaks and his performance. At the end, he became very attractive to me. Isn't that interesting... The story is also very good, too bad I didn't had time to binge. It's been a while since I watched anything this good! And it's been even longer since I would be swooning over their scenes like a young girl. The experience inspired me to write the below. Spoiler alert - proceed at your own discretion.

It's so sad what happened to Rong Xian (and Ling Long); Kunlun is so evil - it's not the first C-drama where they portrayed the self-righteousness and judgmentalism of sects that are supposed to be good, while in contrary, Fanyue - whose the Demon Lord - is actually incredibly good.

I'm so happy they saved the child I actually shed tears… Great that the two opposing characters switched from identity to understand the whole story and the other’s perspective.

I feel sad for the sweet little brother whose being misunderstood by his sister. It's quite stupid how easily Tianhuo could be manipulated into misunderstanding her father and brother because of this evil man.

Was also very moved when I saw Grandfather. Quite sad what happened to Chenyu; he's a complex character.

When facing another evil, it’s great to have Fuling on your side; she turned out to be quite cool. The actress did a great job in playing this role; she also looks pretty. The actor playing Zhenyu also did a great job.

I’m glad they didn’t spent too much time on Fanyue and the bug, but think they spent too much time on the lotus fan

I’m glad they didn’t spent too much time on Fanyue and the bug, but think they spent too much time on the lotus fan.

Also think it's quite nice to see Chongzhao playing Moli, as the latter character is so much more unrestrained, while at the same time Chongzhao's steadfastness is very impressive.

I'm so moved by the love between Jingyuan and Xingyue; they acted so well! Every time Jingyuan was hurting, I was hurting with him. I'm so moved by him I actually cried.

The script at the beginning reminded me of a song of the Legend of Chuqiao, where Chongzhao sacrificed a city for a person. At the end, the script reminded me of the Yin Yang Master, where was said that I have loved and have been loved; that suffice.

I'm quite disappointed with the CGI (especially the divine powers of the deities), clothing and hair decorations - seems like a low budget movie for such a great story and amazing performance.

I also don't understand how they would do Baishuo's hair while Fanyue was unconscious and she was busy making medicines for him (I won't have the spirit to spend that much time doing my hair if I was in that situation).

I also don't understand how the Saints could arrive at the Bright Moon Palace, while they said at the beginning that no one knew where it is.

When Moli mentioned that he wants to merge his divine spirit with Xinyue so he can control the Bow, I wondered, why Xinyue has to leave Jingyuan if they already merged their divine spirits - wouldn't he be able to control the Bow too?

I also don't understand why the other deities could come back, but Xinyue couldn't.

I'm glad that Heaven acknowledged the mistake they made, and concluded that Love is stronger than Nothingness. That's also my personal belief.

I still feel very hurt with Jingyuan and Xingyue - their love is so moving.
On Thousand Years for You Mar 16, 2025
Interesting story, but at times it's quite obvious whose behind many things, yet the characters seem to be researching for a long time. The Second Uncle is a great comedian; the way he uses his voice when he communicate is funny - what a skill. Don’t really like the way the FL speaks, like she’s memorising a script.

Strange ending, as if the writer had to turn it this way to give hope.
On The Bionic Life Mar 7, 2025
Interesting show, forgot it only has 12 episodes, but also glad it didn’t drag on. Decent development of storyline, and decent wrapping up. Quite exciting at times.

Title Kill My Sins
Almost dropped this because of how dark the characters are, but continued as the story is quite intriguing.

It’s quite something to see the perspectives of the poor and powerless, but the story is a bit too dark for my taste.

Interesting how they start every episode with a different character and theme (like the Western series), and logical way of unravelling the case.

LSS has aged… don’t find her hoarsy voice very suitable to her role. I like Wu Ankang, nice character. Not a big fan of the Empress, she's not very trustworthy. I don't think the 'non' behaved like she has been a non for many years after she left the mountain. I like how they incorporated feminism in this story.
On Story of Kunning Palace Mar 2, 2025
I really liked the story, it was interesting and very exciting, and I’m very happy with the ending - was worried for a while, but I'm very happy with the way they chose to end this story.

However, I was a bit shocked when I started with this series about how bad the acting was (and disappointed with BL’s voice acting too, she was better as the voice actor in Forever and Ever).

I also think that it was really toxic how Xiewei was to her; very contrary to his character he was very controlling, which is a bad example to the young people watching this, especially how he was choking her several times.

Finally, I think it is good that there are places where one can watch this for free; it is after all a good way to export Chinese culture.

It's currently free to watch on iq.com but not sure for how long.https://www.iq.com/album/story-of-kunning-palace-2023-yg33cwbzwl?lang=en_us
I found a new website, thank you :)

that seems superficial reason. Its her own voice...
Somehow the way she talks is bothering me; and I guess I'm used to Dilraba pretending to be a man, so am not really impressed with this drama. Besides, the story seems like this one I recently watched https://kisskh.at/749429-zhu-lian-yu-mu, which, thinking back, also wasn't that great, but it passed time when I was on sick leave. But I thought this one (also about a female entrepreneur) was really good, I kind of binged as much as I could: https://kisskh.at/749763-flourished-peony and cannot wait for the Second Chapter. I'm currently watching this as the story is good (and I love Wang Xing Yue since The Double) but was also very shocked with how bad the acting is from episode 1 (from many actors except from the FL whose series I watched before).

I don’t like watching her acting, it’s not superficial. Why wasting my time while there are other, more interesting stories and better actors, to watch?

Completed the show today. I was immersed in the beautiful story that I forgot the main twist at the beginning…

I'm sure they have already filmed this (together with the First Chapter), so when are they airing this? Hope it's not going to be another wait like LYF2... What is the problem? Other series air their Part II right away (like Forever and Ever after One and Only).

Well she had to lose weight bcs of her character. Mudan did not enjoy a good life in her husband's house and it…
Yeah, that is a lot of shame, that there is so much focus on body weight (and people become 'fat' very soon) and their length (and perhaps even if they look young). Today I was asked questions about where Chinese people focus on at work, as I just got back from holiday in China, and they were talking about how some comments can be perceived as discriminatory, so I told them that I noticed there isn't much focus on where someone is from, but a lot more on how someone looks... I quite liked her role in Ashes of Love, so I know Yang Zi is quite cute, and don't think she was fat at all at LYF, but I wasn't a fan of her role in Ode to Joy, but that's because I'm more of an An Di.
On Good Bye, My Princess Feb 12, 2025
Apparently, I already watched this before (but the status didn’t appear earlier so I watched it again after seeing the MV of its OST), which is why I remember having seen some parts, but many scenes were also unfamiliar/forgotten.

New review, didn’t write a review before. Spoiler alert! Continue at your own risk.

Episode 12 was really something, his betrayal to the people who treated him as family and protected him. Really don’t understand why he had to get so close to them. The Grandpa is a very good actor.

How terrible it is that all her loved ones died, just because she didn’t want to marry the Crown Prince…

How inappropriately nice that they could forget all of that and start over, and fall in love with each other again, it’s called "nieyuan"...

Did Chengyin turn into this or was he always like this?

GuJian should not have lied to XiaoFeng, and have her think she loved him as Gu Xiao Wu, creating all the misunderstanding, and led to his eventual dead of being "pierced with thousand arrows"…

Poor XiaoFeng, going through the tragedy of losing her loved ones again and again...

Strange how Chengying is watching them, allowing them to say goodbye.

PeiZhao actually came to get her, disregarding his rank...

Just a decision from the emperor, and the old case was revised, and a new family has been ended…

Even bad people care about their own family, yet the Royal Family kill their own kins.

Xiao Feng is so clingy, she has more beautiful memories with Li Chengyin than with Gu Xiaowu who lied to her, but she keeps living in the past.

It’s strange that no one told Chengyin that he’s Gu Xiaowu after XiaoFeng’s memories returned .

At some point, I feel so bad for Chengyin, he had such a sad life, and had to work so hard to protect the only one he loved that’s still alive, whom he still lost while he finally achieved everything, and had no one left to pass his throne to at the end.

I don’t understand why Xiaofeng killed herself as both armies already agreed to put down the arms. It’s just a tragedy of wars, and the princess of royal lineage sacrificed herself for no reason. I guess when even AhDu sacrificed herself, she had no one left.

Chengyin really loved her, so many times he went after her, jumped after her, protected her, and she never realised it. PeiZhao is a good friend/officer.

This story has been tragic from the beginning.
