He basically bought himself a maid/whore that has to do whatever he says, which doesn't sound like marriage to me but on the other hand i was never married.

Just the thought of offering someone to live like this is toxic no matter the consent. I've read the manga and have a pretty good idea of ​​what's going to happen in episode 2 and its still no marriage in sight.
