The question is: How could the production knew that Youngjoon and Myeongkyun already know each other ? Plus they haven't been in couple so I guess they didn't have any picture of them together on their social media.
Besides I guess the gay Korean community must be quite small so everybody must be following everybody else on social media. It would be a headache for the production to see if the candidates only follow each other on social media or if they already met in real life. And they can't show to the candidates who are the other ones before they start shooting since it would ruin the surprise. So I don't think they did it on purpose. plus there's no way they would have known that Youngjoon stopped responding to Myeongkyun's messages.

I went back to episode 5 to see and yes it was Hanmin who made the suggestion. And even himself at this point said that making rings could be burdensome.

Agreed. We know Great doesn't have a good relationship with his dad, even if we saw them interact together only once. But he seems to be in very good terms with his brother, and it's very unlikely that someone would prefer to help a stranger over his brother. But hopefully we'll get a good explanation in the next episodes.
Well we all have different opinions, to me this was the best season. Except for the last episodes (before ep14) which felt a bit empty. Other than that this season had a wider range and intensity of emotions than the preivous ones and felt more real. But most importantly the way Youngjoon & Myeongkyun but also Jaeseung & Hwi solved their disagreements and ended up being cool and friendly to each others show how important is communication in a relationship (either it's love or friendship). These were great lessons shown by mature candidates.
My big question about the show is why did they film it more than a year ago ? Honestly I wish we had two seasons of this show per year because I love it so much, haha. But filming it so long ago might be quite painful for some of the candidates, especially if they broke up since then. And for those who are still in couple they haven't been allowed to show themselves together on social media for more than a year, and they certainly had to hide their relationship from some people around them so I guess it must have been quite frustrating for them...
This season was overall great, except for the last episodes that felt a bit boring and empty. I wish there has been more engaging activities at the end, like a barbecue or a party before the last day. Or another round of interesting calls or letters. And most importantly a game of Jenga. I was quite disappointed that this season didn't have it because that was a great and very emotional moment in the two first seasons, with everyone telling their stories and how they sometimes struggled with their sexuality and their family/friends.
However I found this season to be the most interesting one in terms of surprises and also in terms of range and intensity of emotions. Besides all candidates were great and are all charming and endearing. I applaud their sense of communication, they managed to talk and let go of their animosity. This was a great lesson of maturity.
About the last episode I don't blame Hanmin because he must have had his own reasons but I felt very sad for Youngjoon. I really hope he found happiness since then, because he's a great person and everybody would dream to have a boyfriend like him <3
PS : for the next season I hope the candidates will stay longer in the house, 10 days or even two weeks. I feel one week isn't enough for them to fully know everyone.
