This was a very sweet BL, I loved the atmosphere and the actors. I just wished (and still hope) we had an extra episode to get more explanations and details about the ending. I'm glad China is really starting to get into BLs and most importantly that they finally seem to stop censoring them. Their writers, directors and actors have a potential to make great BLs in the future. PS : oh and I also love the soundtrack, especially the opening theme !
Guysss, We NEED a season 4 plss😠I feel like we need to redeem this season
Season 3 was great, it's my personal favorite seasons and it does not have to be redeemed. I understand that some of you prefer the more "positive" and romantic encounters like Sung Ho and Jun Sung had in s2. I like those as well but season 3 brought me a wider range of emotions while watching it, and felt more in line with how relationships are and can evolve in the gay community.
Amazing BL / slice of life drama ! And yeah I categorize it as a BL because it focuses on a story of a gay man. As a gay man and from all the BLs I've watched, this one is having the most realistic depiction of the gay life. It deals with the sad reality and hardship of being a gay man, even of a gay man having HIV, and the the difficulties that everyone faces to find true love.
I really loved how each episode had its own dynamic, while being totally related to the rest and making sense in the continuation of Yeong's life. I just wished we would see more of Mi Ae after episode 2. It's hard to compare it with other BLs since the other ones are more focusing on a perfect cute and love story that is most of the time far from reality, but to me this BL put to shame all the other BLs.
The choice of having an open ending is bittersweet but understandable and realistic. I wouldn't say no to a season 2, but I feel it would be a lot of pressure for the writers to make another season after this masterpiece.
I hope that someday he'll have a main role in a drama or a bl. He doesn't have a huge role in the two first episodes…
I come back here after finishing "Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo". I'm glad we had more scenes with him in the show but I really hope that in the future he'll finally get a main role in a series or a bl. Very handsome and talented actor !
The start was really strong and the chemistry between Dohoe and Ju Yeong was just perfect, but it quickly took a confusing direction that I didn't really enjoy. At the end I end up rooting more for Hyeonho and feeling sorry for Ju Yeong considering how despicable Dohoe became to my eyes. Even if he lived a rough life I don't think he deserved a happy ending after how he emotionally mistreated them for so many years. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding him and didn't understand certain things that happened, idk.
This was a beautiful drama both visually and story, Th edit is a bit wonky so it can be confusing if you're not…
I agree with you. Even if we can understand Dohoe's trauma because of his violent father, he treated Juyeong and Hyeonho quite badly and made them emotionally suffer for a very long period of time. And even if he knows that he hasn't always have been a good person, at the end he doesn't really apologize to them but on the contrary gains a loyal friend and a boyfriend, which he doesn't really deserve imo.
Wouldn't be interested by a spin off focusing on Hyeon Ho, the character is not likeable at all for me, but Jang…
He might not look likeable, but to me that's because the series doesn't focus on him and doesn't explain nor show properly his personality and his feelings like it does for Dohoe and Ju Yeong.
But he loves Dohoe and tries to get with him even before Ju Yeong arrived. And by the manner he's being treated by Dohoe we can tell that he is definitely suffering and emotionally struggling since a very long time.
If there's a character who is not likeable in the series then it's definitely Dohoe because he causes emotional struggle to all those who love him.
I don't get why at the end of episode 6 they show that Hyeonho's law firm address is saved in the car's GPS that Ju Yeong rented. Like has Ju Yeong been spying on Hyeonho ? Or is it something else ?
Everyone has different interpretation of what's happening, it's kinda fascinating but also frustrating to not be able to understand everything.
But to me Dohoe is really the one making suffer everyone around him, including himself. Considering how he keeps changing his attitude towards Ju Yeong and also towards Hyeonho, making both of them confused. I don't know a thing about psychology but it certainly has something to do with the trauma he developed because of his father beating him.
As for Ju Yeong his trauma is to be stuck in the past. He cannot move forward and just wanna continue things as they were back then but he doesn't wanna admit to himself that people change over time, and especially Dohoe.
As for Hyeonho I wish the series would show more of him because he is definitely suffering and emotionally struggling for very very long. He was trying to get with Dohoe even before Ju Yeong arrives. So I'd love to know more about how he feels and also know what has really been going on between him and Dohoe for all these years.
Anyway this is my 2 cents understanding of things so far, I might be totally wrong or have missed something. And I wouldn't be surprised if I did because these characters aren't easy to understand. And I say this as a good thing because sometimes IRL human emotions are very hard to understand, even when it's our own emotions. So it means the writing of this series is realistic, even if confusing from time to time.
Why the translations on GagaooLala are almost always bad ? Movies and series producers should make their own translations and stop relying on these platforms that make a terrible job.
I think it was edited that way to give maximum angst. I have faith it will all start to make sense by the end…
Yeah I know about that part, and I can't wait for them to finally have that talk so we understand better what happened. But episode 3's editing would still feel weird to me anyway.

Yeah probably. But to me it brought more confusion than angst, because all along the episode I was constantly wondering what was going on and if I missed or misunderstood something.
The two first episodes started so strongly, with an amazing and unique chemistry. But to me episodes 3 and 4 ruined that dynamic while there was still potential. In some ways it feels like those episodes were written by a different person, and the editing of episode 3 was really confusing. I thought this BL was going to be my favorite BL of 2024 but now I'm kinda worried about what will happen next. It's still good but not as excellent as it was at the beginning. But let's wait & see, hopefully the second half will be strong and amazing again...
