I was low-key pissed when XY told CX to find her a man… like really??? what happened to the girl who didn’t need a man to bring her down. just because you’re heartbroken, you do not need to ask CX to find you a man 🤦🏻‍♀️

there was a scene where XY was talking Nian out of falling for CX. She said, “Cang Xuan never cared for romance. If a women falls in love with him and can offer him some assistance, he won’t mind. If marrying a women can help him avoid conflicts and save dozens and hundreds of guards or even prevent a war, what do you think he would do? In fact, I don’t like it too (XY about CX marrying other women) but I wandered the world for hundreds of years. I was once an ordinary person. I know how precious it is to live in peace and how fragile a common person is. I fully support him”

This shows us the depth of CX’s sacrifice and unselfishness for the people and his family. He’s going so far as to even bury his deep love and affection for her. He’s putting it to the side, loving her the way he could, as familia love. It also shows CX and XY’s trust and loyalty towards each other. XY has said over and over again, if she ever has to chose, it will always be CX. She will protect him at all cost. She return as grand princess of Haoling for CX. I love their bond!!

That is my only complaint about this drama, it’s very heavy on the romance that it leaves a lot for the audience to wonder and get frustrated about, such as the palace politics, Tushan household dynamics, XL and why he’s always injured, etc… I just wish the director and script writers gave us more than just the romance. There’s so many apology scenes and a lot of back & fourth between TSJ & XL. Which I totally understand, it’s all for entertainment purposes so everyone has there own preference.

I prefer more energy and time on the actually storytelling, logic of the characters, and moving of the plot; hence, I’m drawn to CX and his inner thoughts, struggles, planning, and pain. I love that CX and XL have a purpose and they remain true to that purpose!

This is why I can’t give him up even though XL and TSJ are giving me butterflies. I empathize and am drawn to his unconditional love and protection for the world and his family. His moves are motivated by logic not emotions. I just love this character so much!

Same, I love Xiao Zhan and have waited forever for TLP. I really wanted to like it and continue but ended up dropping it after 17 episodes. The plot was poorly executed and I didn’t feel any chemistry between the two leads. FL is very cute and TLP is my first of her dramas. I will definitely look into her drama with ZWY, thank you!

I don't know. In my effort to deal with my LYF withdrawals I looked at the casts' previous and upcoming dramas; and ZWY was listed as a cast on the kisskh NIF3 page.

No cast confirmation or filming news yet :(
hopefully soon. Both NIF and NIF2 ranks in my too 3 Chinese dramas ever… so I’m so happy and excited that ZWY is a part of the cast!!!

Okay, this is my last excitement for today:

I just noticed today that Zhang Wanyi (Cang Xuan) is rumored to be in Nirvana in Fire 3 with Wu Lei!!!!! I can’t contain my excitement!!!

I thought Wu Lei in NIF3 was enough for me but my gah after seeing this man, Zhang Wanyi’s performance on LYF, he definitely needs to be in NIF3!!! the two of them together is seriously so dreamy!!!! 😍😍😍

After seeing Zhang Wanyi in Lost You Forever… I’m even more excited to see NIF3 now. I thought Wu Lei was enough but my gah the two of them together is seriously so dreamy!!!! 😍

I’m one to also liked him from the beginning. His inner struggles, drive for the throne to protect his family, and his unconditional love for XY can’t be described in words. Their screen time and chemistry is so good!
