Any idea how r the other parts of the drama? Any idea abt why british wear specs on Sundays n why they should…
I have also watched the 2007 sequel which is just the same except for the addition of a member. Do not question the things said here lmao, totally random. Ooh thanks for the recommendation.
Oh no. The American is as weird as it can get, hence the cult following even after so many years. I'll definitely recommend it.
This is definitely one of the shows which would be even better and fun on a re-watch. May I also interest you with Jikou Keisatsu. Same cast and crew and more importantly, the same Madness.
Sadly, more episodes felt like a miss than a hit, often the problem with episodic shows. Would have been a lot better if the plot development was given as much relevance as Manjome's plane and Yuriko's scoop whenever a monster appeared out of nowhere.
My favourite episode (and possibly everybody's)- https://youtu.be/NxEKbz7fX9E (If only every episode was as great)
It is not an adaptation. It is only similar in themes and the overall surreal and eerie atmosphere. The premises seem similar in the beginning but go in completely different and strange directions (you'll know, assuming you've watched Twin Peaks). Highly recommended and even more if you want to feel the Twin Peaks vibes.
Kitagawa Eriko did it again. It is the second time when with one stupid decision, she destroyed the show for me. I am honestly not the one to mind or avoid sad endings or tragedies but when they are this nonsensical and unnecessary, I just feel betrayed. Like what was the point and what did it achieve in the end?
Still I'd definitely recommend the show for the beautiful women and their friendship (as if I am convinced that they were just friends)
While the plot may seem like nothing special, for me it was the characters and their dynamics which made the drama special for me. Hwi Roo and her relationship with grandmother were especially dear to me. Not to mention the pairings of Ma Roo and her roommate and even Seok Moo and Jang Hyun ( lmao I think they were perfect for each other). Overall a really pleasant and satisfying watch.
Even though the drama gave me a headache with all the shouting from both the mothers (ngl, it was funny too), I can't say enough on how cute a couple Tsutomu and Mari made. Despite the too fast developments, I instantly started rooting for them bacause of their innocence and honesty. And Shin deserves a special mention for being the sassiest one and always making me laugh. (he and Megumi deserved a spin-off)
What I'd give to live with the Youkai in their sharehouse... I love it when dramas I had no expectations of, the ones I start only because they are short and seem light-hearted surprise me with their characters and depth. Youkai Sharehouse was a similar experience for me and a recommendation to all.

Also, felt tipsy just by watching them gulp down that alcohol.
Highly recommended and even more if you want to feel the Twin Peaks vibes.
Edit- The drama made it worse.
But the editing here sure gave me a headache.
