You are correct but there's no point beating the drum here on this forum. As you can already see by the response here, there's a lot of people who enjoy this kind of degraded culture and actively support it. SK is beyond saving now, their birth rate will drop to negative. Urban India is similarly very rotten. I wish to leave this forum but can't figure out a way to delete my account and all my data here. The only way forward is to stay away from such cultural attacks from Empire of the USA. The society is doomed and culture is collapsing. No point in lecturing anyone. A total waste of energy.

I sympathize with NY. Someone needs to hold her and tell her she should stop caring about other people's opinions and just live her life. Stop being a people pleaser. Ideally her husband should do this but HS doesn't have enough backbone. But he's a honest and kind guy. At least he's trying to understand his wife's psychology by asking why she's like that in the preview.

The best solution is the one suggested by HS. Both NY and HS should move to the US. MR doesn't really care about her current husband and HS. She's still sulking for her previous husband and Hyun Woo. Let Su ji and U Ri stay here. I believe even the father should leave her and retire in the US. That's best for the family.

I didn't like Backstreet Rookie very much, and the age gap was definitely a reason. The show was pretty controversial and many didn't like the concept of a teenage girl going crazy after a small store employee in his thirties.

However, my main point was not the age difference but rather the use of these new extreme form of beauty treatments which creates vampire like ageless faces. This trend puts a lot of pressure on teenagers in Korea. Normal women do age by late thirties and it shows.

ML seems to be attached to FL to fill in the shoes of his mother. Do we have a "momma" complex here?

The actress is almost 40 in real life and the actor is 24!! Where is all the young talent in Korea? Also, the FL Shin Hyun Been looked very different in her 20s. What's this new kind of surgery that all these post wall actresses seem to get where they become morbidly thin and get a new face where the skin is stretched like a ghost? I see nearly all 40 something actresses in SK turn into skeletal beings with a young looking skin (you have to look at hand and feet to figure out that yeah these are ajummas.) I find this beauty trend in SK very concerning for young generation.

This has nothing to do with the drama. Drama is ok, just a cliche short drama with a simp as ML - standard Korean romantic series these days.

I just find the new beauty trend a bit unnerving. And this pairing of very old actresses with relatively too young actors is also bad. No matter how hard the actor tries, there's zero chemistry. Can't blame him. Hard to romance with an actress you'd otherwise call "ajumma" on the street.

Dramas like Something about 1 percent (2003 original, not 2016 version) are totally past now and will never be seen again. All trash dramas with pathetically weak and effeminate MLs that are conjured up fantasies of women with still teenage level mind.
That's the reason that even if an actor's past relationship gets in the news in Korea, it is turned into a MeToo campaign. All MLs must be forever virgins and never talk to any actresses ever outside of work. Like yeah, LOL!

With the state of society and acceptance of this extreme form of debauchery in conduct of women in South Korean entertainment, and with the state of birth rate in South Korea, I believe North Korea wouldn't even have to fight a war to take over South Korea.

It's just a trash drama really. Wherever Netflix puts their money, it turns into the same degenerate Western plots written by the same tired Hollywood style script approval committees. But the problem is the audience watching it are the many Korean and International women who are not married late into thirties. Korea does not have birth rate exceeding 1.0 in even a single province. Expect only more such content catering to older women with no aim to settle in life.
Women like the FL above are huge red flags and obviously cannot have kids. Imagine a plot trying to basically buy a younger person for marriage to gain money/be greedy in career. Worst plot ever. Even humor should not violate basic human decency.

The reverse age gap is insane. Shin Min Ah looks artificially thin and make up put to show her younger. Don't like her role here. Relatively bland drama with very westernized tones. The plot could be good enough for a movie but it is simply too thin for a regular drama.

I wish that once Woo Ri discovers his real mum (the Chairwoman) he still goes on to call Su Ji his sister and the plot should bring a cameo of an old friend of Woo Ri that makes Su Ji jealous. Although I understand her position, the amount of hurt she is causing Woo Ri is too much. Some suffering is mandatory.

Is that the older bro? LOL! I thought both brothers were younger. Yeah, you are right.

YLAG also had an "uncle" who had a child with the governess of the children in that drama.

This drama indeed recycles a lot of stuff from YLAG (Young Lady and Gentleman). Unsurprising since the writer is the same. Even a lot of the cast is the same. PS's mom here has the exact same role as in YLAG, including abandoning the child, becoming rich, caring for the child in secret and the eventual hair pulling. The stupid amnesia plot is very similar and just as YLAG, there is partial recovery of amnesia which does not turn into full recovery until episode 47. DR's mom played a very similar and irritating character in YLAG. Even portions of the indoors set look identical to YLAG.

I predict another 15 or so frustrating episodes and a rushed ending. YLAG was a total mess towards the end. I guess I'll stop watching this since a lot of plot lines about abandoned child, old man's mistress, weird relations (like here PS's aunt dates the younger brother of DR) etc. are just very similar to YLAG and equally frustrating.

I honestly find the Pil Sung's "aunt" more beautiful that the current amnesia struck FL.

One particular grandmother ... LOL! We know who that is. Seriously, she is trying to set some kind of record in how much fire she can stoke in every little controversy.

Come on, THRC should be called "Legal Roommates". It was the most boring drama of this decade. I think they've added a bit more spice here with all the amnesia and hair pulling. Though I dislike all of it and regret watching this drama.

Birth Mom lost 20% of her hair after Ep 30. Seriously, the hair pulling was insane! Every adult in this drama is overreacting at an insane level. I don't even understand what evil deed did she do to deserve this. She loved and cared for PL as much as she could in her way. She was wrong, but it's been over 30 years now.

FL amnesia plot has been completely sabotaged by bad writing. Is she Do Ra or is she not? Will she keep remembering one scene at a time as per whims of the writers?

Truly wish a speedy recovery from his eye infection.
