I truly truly hope this series is going to be massive not only for us the fans but for Milklove and ViewJune as well, I need them to get concerts and fanmeets and merchandise and if this is big hopefully that will lead to even more GL's produced by gmmtv I know there will be Pluto but I want more
You know I liked the movie for what it was but I remember thinking at the time it felt very incomplete like something was missing, based on the trailer it seems like so much was missing and they filmed way more scenes so I am glad they have this series as well
This has been a series of characters making stupid decisions but Kang Bom leaving the witness unattended because of the fire alarm almost make me throw my laptop across the room even I could tell that was a fake alarm
after a rough set of episodes with the whole traitor/coup storyline this series is finally back on top, I am on the edge of my seat to see how the final two episodes will play out
Overall I actually really enjoyed this drama, the acting was good, the cinematography is gorgeous, well directed and I love that so many of the characters were morally grey I think the storyline between ex's Tara and Apa was probably my favourite there was just something so tragic but hopeful about it. I think my main negative was that because there was so many characters and only 12 episodes I don't think every storyline got as fleshed out as I would of liked, I also think it has quite a slow start it wasn't until around episode 5 that I became gripped to the series
I just feel this series spent way to much time on all of the unlikable characters, Por, Top and Tee did not need all of that screentime for how insufferable they were it really brought down my enjoyment of the series especially when so much of their "bullying" was so repetitive I think there has been some interesting idea's here although I do wish they had just stuck to the campy slasher vibes of the first few episodes after Por was injured I really thought it was going to be a series of picking the characters off one by one and it didn't really go that way. one episode left and as much as I would love Tan to get his revenge I just don't think it will go his way sadly :/
Honestly Cherry Magic has probably been the biggest surprise for me out of all of the 2023 gmmtv shows, I wasn't the biggest fan of PeteKao or Dark Blue Kiss so went into this with very low expectations but I shouldn't of worried because this show was brilliant I now completely understand the TayNew hype and why they are so popular because they were perfect in this, I also really loved Mark and Junior as the sideship they were adorable, Sing and Jan were also really good like Mark and Namtan in Last Twilight they were able to make me care about a het couple in a BL series overall just a really well done feel good series.
I mean the age gap was questionable enough but why do they have to portray the younger one so childlike it makes an already icky situation even more icky because they are making a point of one being mature and the other clearly still being emotionally immature, i know this is based on a book and I haven't read it so I have no idea how problematic it is but surely there are 100's of other books they could of chosen to adapt the irl age gap is not that big between the actors they could of even wrote an original script with a less problematic age gap. i want to support all of the gl's but I don't know with this one, i might give it a couple more episodes to see
You know for what this series was it was cute, I just didn't entirely love the ML and I still don't think he did enough to earn the FL at the end but oh well I am not walking away hating the fact I spent time on the drama
Didn't Tara say that Nathee is also the father of her baby? I wonder then if he is actually sterile or he just thinks he is, is he going to actually be the father of either baby... I can't say I am mad that Cholly is cheating on Phupha he doesn't exactly treat her very well plus we already know that he is going to make out with the much younger xena anyway so neither of them are angels now we know why Chess didn't want to commit to anything with Peng

omg I totally forgot about that Cholly and Sarin thing you are right it must of been Chess unless Cholly is also hooking up with someone else we don't yet know about. Sky has it bad he is just their trying to be a supportive boyfriend and the rest of his family are just a mess lol
I knew there was something up with Chess he kept getting these mysterious phone calls that were never explained, now we know that he was probably hooking up with Cholly. why do the women in this show keep getting treated so badly :/ don't get me wrong most of them aren't angels but damn they going through some horrific stuff.
I really don't know how to feel about that finale because they are setting up another series it didn't really feel like a end of any sorts nothing has been resolved in fact they have even more problems I didn't expect any happy endings or anything but I don't know I expected some chapters to be closed at least but I feel like so many characters are still where they were at 10 episodes ago hmm such a lukewarm ending and I didn't expect that at all
For people that know about viewership and things like that do you think Playboyy was popular enough that it will actually get a series 2? did it perform well in Thailand? I feel like we hardly ever actually get a 2nd series of a show unless it is really popular so I wondered what the chances were of it actually happening
You know what like with most Japanese series I always walk away saying the same thing this would of been so good if only had it been longer, I liked this series for what it was the actresses had really good chemistry but if they had 1 hour episodes even 45 minute ones so much could of been fleshed out more and had more development but for what it was it was good I am just glad we are finally getting more GL's
I am glad that we have finally ended the whole internal political struggle/ traitor storyline it went on way too long and was so frustrating to watch at times
Why was everyone's reactions so lackluster, Jin finding out about Phee and Tan, Phee finding out about Jin's feelings for Non and the tape leak, everyone finding out the truth about New/Tan it was like none of it even mattered for what was some huge story points in the show I thought there would of been more weight to the reveals, also I know he wasn't the best person but PhiJin could not of gave less of a fuck that Por had literally died, no one even tried to help top after he was shot lool
