i hope not but after all this is adaptation..yess..exactly..if you already starting to read, you will understand my point about the 3 character i mention..you will experience the steamy story between ML and FL..lol..funny though..they are like disaster cute couple..messy but cute..180 degree two different character yet they love each other so deeply..

i believe the director add this kind of thing to make different path of story bcs in the novel, ML and FL is very on fire in terms of bed activity..lol..since they cant follow through this kind of story in tv drama, so maybe director make it like the FL very shy and naive about sexual activity..

they are cousin..the late emperor was ML father..ML didnt want to be the king so he gives the emperor title to his cousin and choose to fight enemies at the border..empress dowager is not ML birth mom neither emperor birth mother..empress dowager rise to become empress when ML mother died early when ML still a kid..

novel version, her father alive until the end..although there will be misunderstanding FL towards ML bcs of ML trying to uncover corruption within the kingdom and endanger FL father's life..no divorced too since they love each other..just angry and sulking FL and the need to be coax patiently by ML bcos of this misunderstanding..

as i already read the novel before i knew this getting adapted, the ML and FL really do match as i imagined.. but they cut 3 character that in my opinion make the story more rich because this 3 character really do shape FL story more interesting..still, im happy to watch this drama.. it sets different tone than the novel entirely..
the novel version is on fire in physical contact start from day 1 they consummate the marriage.. if you know what i mean..lol..

I guess the episode you watch is ep 8..it got skipped 2 episodes..check the opening episode..it will show the episode number is this 八 ..

especially her eyes when smiling..truly very hard to forget..

In the novel, she is not..but she is a pampered General's Daughter..but like we all know that director can also redirect the story towards his version..

A bit over here i mean is a pampering rich and famous young girl usually do like act coy,judgmental,etc..i dont find it annoying though bcs other than that, FL is also very smart,never bullying others, and cant be bully too ofc..but lets see how it will interpret in the drama later..
Actually she is not really a general but a daughter of a general..

If they follow the storyline from the novel, yes no real misunderstanding here but there is a little misjudged character by FL to ML bcoz of something ML do..but like we all know that director always make a bit different path than the novel bcs after all this is an adaptation..

in the novel, FL didnt hate the ML and also her family not ruined instead being protected by the ML..
they are bestowed marriage by the Emperor..very green flag couple bcs the ML only has his eyes on her and vice versa..very happy ending..but i think there is a chance that some people will find FL character is a bit over IF they strictly follow the novel interpretation..

For me, ep 24 and 25 feels like a filler to me..but i can understand why WYF left (again)..the way WYF act just a solid prove that trauma cant heal that easily..her defense mechanism (to run away) will automatically took control of her behavior when her trauma is coming back to harassing her again..but this time different..she run away to keep CXD away from SY so he wont harassing SY too..at least this what WYF believe..SY is the only happiness she ever have..she believe by run away, she can protect SY but in the other hand, she forget that also hurting SY at the same time..but what can she do?
Remember that WYF growing up as a teenager without love and guidance from her parents and her family and also no one ever taught her how to handle such trauma..she is alone.. she didnt commit suicide is already a miracle..so, lets be more understandable to try see from WYF point of view and lets support WYF and SY until the end..let them grow by each other..and also i learn to never judge a person by its cover..there is always unspeakable past or story behind every person we met..be more kind since words can hurt more than a knife..
Letsss Goo SY and WYF..you can get through this together..!!! 🫰

just saw properly ep 23..wtf..they make WYF mom aware how awful the uncle is by suddenly protecting her step daughter when he came..now she must get in jail also too..damn so pissed off..she doesn't deserve to get love from such a kind hearted daughter like WYF at all..not even an inch..

No..her uncle will be there until almost the end..there will be even bigger truth about her uncle crime that he did in the past..

In novel, When WYF tell the truth to SY later, its the most sad moment for both of them ..their pure and honest relationship when in high school had to shattered because of her trash family..how SY hold his anger when hear all of the truth from trembling voice of WYF but still comfort and praise her for being so brave all this time when he is not around to protect her.. damn so hurt..
i hope they can portray it perfectly so it will make this drama even more succesful..

I do really hope they follow the novel by let WYF break her relationship forever with her mom completely..WYF not allow her mother to meet SY even once..
I hate WYF mom too when i know the reason why WYF mom want to restore the relationship between them..

I trust WYF commitment to SY..in ep 24 trailer, is it to portray the moment when XL told SY about WYF past like in the novel?
but in the drama they make other route by make SY found by himself the truth about WYF past..CMIIW..

In china, when men give women red beans, it means he give his full commitment to her..and SXF accepted it..its just her lack of confidence that needs time to heal from her past toxic relationship..

actually there is 1 big issue..not between them but for them to face together..its WYF terrible past..

'Kexin" is not exist in the novel..the Director tweak the story plot a bit..but SY mom intention to give SY some blind dates is there (bcs SY mom didnt exactly know SY has someone he likes)..
about the truth that WYF will tell later, im not gonna ruin your experience about it but it will happen after they officially dating and WYF past comes back haunting her..
